Didn't last a week!

I have an active lab who has been using this about 5 times before it became defective. The lighting is provided by a central core piece that screws in and out. However, the base that the core screws into has become detached from the rest of the ball rendering it useless. When I first got it, I felt it was a bit over-engineered because it needed the core to be removed and charged through a USB-C connection. That's ok, but you need to unscrew it each time to switch it on. I had already become concerned because the notch to screw it in and out had started to disintegrate, so I tried leaving it on, but that simply discharged the battery. If you have an active dog who like to chew a bit on a ball, this won't work.

Great light up dog ball

I take my dog out at night before her bed time. This is her new favorite toy. It's super bright (and stays on unlike some other light up balls!) and a good size for her mouth. She's a 60lb golden retriever and far from an aggressive chewer so I can't comment on durability. At 10 bucks it's worth a shot though.

As far as LED dog ball go I've literally tried them all and this is by Far the most durable. i have a 2yo Very active 80lb Malinois. She has a crazy bite and i use a ball launcher I'm throwing it high and far so it's taken a beating. i would be happy to get 6-8 months out of one of these. This exceeded that and is still going strong. I would only recommend this ball to ppl no others compare.

Initially great and then base became detached.

Initially, it was wonderful. The light lasted a long time between charging. I have a very active black lab and playing fetch is her goal in life. Over time, however, the base became dislodged and would detach from the ball itself. I tried glue, however, it did not hold. My lab has a very heavy mouth and I'm assuming that may have contributed to the detachment. If there is a way to repair it (i.e. glue good for rubber and plastic) let me know.
