My vet tech suggested these as a distraction. Peanut butter and greek yogurt for the win! Sturdy silicone, suction discs on the back hold in place on the floor, great value, easy clean-up. Comes with it's own little brush for cleaning and it's own spatula for spreading the treat.

Why didnt I buy these when they first came out? I have two kitties that push their wet food out of their bowls when eating then they wont touch it. These mats are perfect. Theyre big enough that they can push the food around a bit, but they dont go very far and the Matt suction cup down so they cant push the mat around. My two Chihuahuas are a different story. One Chihuahua is so spoiled and skittish that I had to feed him out of my hand. Now hes eating from his lick Matt and not startled by the bowl sliding around the other Chihuahua loves to lick Matt and polishes off everybody elses if they dont get every last drop. Super easy to wash. I thought they might be a problem, but they arent. I havent even had to use the brush that comes with it. I recommend these to anyone who has pets easier than bowls.

I honestly didnt need more than one pad, but this package is a good deal for the money. My dog weighs about 25-30 pounds and I usually only use a quarter of one pad. It loads up well, giving him an adequate little treat. Some of the patterns are difficult to clean completely, even with the little scrub brush. The suction cups work well, clinging to everything with ease.

I have two more of these that are more expensive and have deeper ridges that are great for peanut butter to keep dogs busy and tire them out. Love them. The grooves/pattern on these are much more shallow and not really a challenge, *but* I've discovered that they work great as a slow feeder, especially for wet dog food. A couple of the small dogs I sit want to be hand or spoon fed because they are weird about bowls. (See pic 3 for what that mess looks like!) This solved the problem with the small pom I was recently sitting--and her floofy bib didn't get as messy. And these are WAY easier to clean off than the ones with the deeper grooves. The little brush isn't necessary, but I love the little spatula for smashing the food in there, which is what slows down the feeding and encourages more licking. The only minor thing would is that the suction cups are ridiculously strong! If you are using them to stick to a wall that would be great. I just put them on a textured mat so I can pick them up without a struggle. TL;DR spend more if you want a challenging licki-mat, get these for slow feeding, especially for picky little dogs.
