Very nice, versatile and basic notebook. This came exactly as described (128 lined blank sheets). The linen lined cover is nice to the touch. With the message on the front (Life is but a span), it almost makes the most sense to use this as a journal, diary or a travel journal. There is a pocket on the inside of the back cover; you can put a photo or two or cards in it. It also comes with stickers (see pictures) that can be used for markers in the notebook itself. There is an elastic band (to wrap around the book vertically) that keeps the journal closed; any items placed into this pocket will not fall out if you use the band. I am using it as a journal (a nice thing to start at the beginning of the year) and it works perfectly in that role. Ink does not bleed on the pages so you can write on both the front and back with no problem. Great product that is giftable!

What attracted me to this journal was the color and then the material advertised to be, Linen. Well the quality, touch, from the cover to the back and the pages in between is quite real. I am a journal junkie and the first chance I get to acquire a journal, a planner (that looks worth keeping), as well as pens I am all over them. So I AM a writer and this journal has not disappointed me (now I have not written in it yet but I wanted to post that I can't wait) with what I have seen this will be a book that I will not hesitate to grab and write in, keep in on me at all times. (Once I have written in it, I will update) ~~

This notebook is okay. Honestly, I was expected something different, but it will do for what I need it to right now. Just like a normal notebook with the strap around it. Comes in different colors.

Very SIMPLE, with a somewhat innocuous "positive sentiment" on cover, good Binding, plain lined pages (don't lose surface area to extra "design" on the pages, but we WANTED non-fancy to allow sufficient space for writing!) and a thicker/durable Journal paper! There is nothing "extraordinary" about this journal, but it's EXACTLY what I wanted, so for that I'll give 5 stars. :) My only note of caution - I don't see anything "special" about the way the elastic strap is anchored inside the cover (see pics), so it's been my experience that these FAIL after a short amount of use (a few months). I do NOT yet know whether this one has staying power, but if you're looking for a longer lasting strap, I don't think this is it .. :)
