I Still "Flushed" a Little

I don't really taste this Vitamin B3 at all and it is easy to take. I add it to a little bit of juice. I usually take it after I have eaten a snack so I can't comment on taking it on an empty stomach. I will say that I am currently in perimenopause which I believe is the reason why this made me have a little bit of a hot flash. However, it is 100 times better than taking the "regular" niacin for sure!

No side effects AND no taste!

This product has no taste and also it does not cause any facial or chest flushing, which can often occur with taking niacinamide (a.k.a. vitamin B3). Along with my internists advice, I have decided to do everything I can to avoid taking a statin to in order to lower my cholesterol. If this formulation does not make a difference in six months, then I will begrudgingly start taking a statin. Cardiovascular disease in the form of elevated cholesterol and high blood pressure runs in my family. My blood pressure, cholesterol, and triglyceride levels were way too high 3 weeks ago, so in addition to taking this vitamin B3 twice a day, I am also taking: daily fish oil (1250 mg) one baby aspirin (81mg daily) 1-2 tbsp of flaxseed oil (in yogurt, delicious!) 4 oz of no added sugar beet juice 2 TBSP Metamucil daily I have been decreasing my intake of saturated fats, and have increased my daily physical activity, too. The available literature notes that taking Vitamin B3 can help to lower high cholesterol and triglyceride levels, as well reduce the risk of heart attack by slowing down the process of narrowing arteries. There is also a ton of literature that supports all of the above as well. After speaking with my physician and reading a TON on my own, this is the path that Im taking for now. Hopefully the blood tests that I take in the next few weeks and months will render good results!
