We absolutely love this satay mix with peanut sauce. I originally bought it from Thailand when I was visiting. We tried it at home once I returned and both my teenage sons (and us parents) loved it. The sauce has a little heat, which is perfect. Sad that I didn't buy more (they are only like $1 in Thailand), the price here seemed fairly reasonable, given these are purchased overseas. Absolutely love this - 100% recommend.

I usually add finely cut up kaffir lime leaves to this chicken seasoning to add great flavor and brightness. I also do not add oil for the peanut sauce, only more coconut milk as adding in the oil makes it really greasy. Top it with crushed peanuts. Making the suggested dipping sauce from package instructions is highly recommended. We repurchase this often.

This stuff isn't just for chicken satay, try this: First marinate shrimp in the satay marinade. I used jumbo shrimp in the picture so I cut them small. I cooked up a bunch of Thai noodles, cooked the shrimp with some finely chopped broccoli. When making the peanut sauce I don't cook if for the full 15 minutes, like you would for a dipping sauce, but less time so it's thinner. It's ready when the little red dots of oil start to appear on the top. Throw it together in a bowl, serve it up, and people will talk about it for years!!

Run out of these satay mixes after some time and couldn't find it locally in my area. Bought this and they came in a different colored package (white) and was worried that it is different from the previous packaging (which is what the picture shows). It's still the same and has the 2 packets inside with Packet A (marinade for the meat) and Packet B (peanut sauce mix). Excellent sauce and as always don't forget to make the cucumber salad as a side dish to go along with the satay pork/chicken/beef you make.
