This is a pretty awesome little Bluetooth adapter, definitely necessary if you transfer files from your phone to a PC. This adapter was super easy to install in my Windows 10 machine, a simple plug and play affair. Within a couple of minutes it was up and running and I have since been able to connect an older desktop to my windows 11 laptop and another windows 10 desktop, as well as to a couple of phones that have been able to transfer pictures to the desktop, which I could never do before with that machine. The range seems to be good, I can go to adjacent rooms without my transfer dropping. It also allows me to connect Bluetooth headphones to the machine for videos and music. All in all, its a great addition to keep an otherwise solidly performing machine relevant in the ever changing technological landscape.

Seems to work OK for sound

I got the extra range version, and so far so good. The actual range may vary for you because it depends on your devices, walls, and any other interferences, but I do have to say that the Bluetooth connection is stronger than most other devices I own. For example, I can comfortably and seamlessly play music through my Bluetooth headphones anywhere within in my house, which is up to 30-40 feet of stable connection. Very satisfied to that extent. Installation: Simple but can be confusing at first. At first, I couldn't seem to get it working as it was showing everything working as it should but I couldn't connect any devices to my computer. It would instantly say "couldn't connect" when I tried to select a device to connect to. So I kept troubleshooting until I've found the problem. My computer has its own internal Bluetooth adapter which I have previously connected my wireless headphones to. Even after disabling the internal adapter, I've found out that I was trying to get it to connect with my old wireless headphone preset. You have to forget the device and/or set up the device again as a new device through windows settings. If you are trying to upgrade your Bluetooth on a device that already has Bluetooth, I recommend to forget all Bluetooth devices you may have set up on your device. Other than that, it was plug and play because windows 11 automatically downloads the needed drivers for the adapter.

I was in the market for a bluetooth adapter or extender because the bluetooth that came with my new PC seems to be unusually finicky and / or short range. I play games within literally five feet of it but if part of the couch is between my wireless controller and the PC itself, the signal becomes incredibly unreliable. In games like Dead By Daylight this means lost matches and high frustration. This adapter seemed to offer what I needed at an affordable price, and I'm happy to say that it works. The unit installs pretty much by itself, I just plugged it into a spare USB port and my computer (Win 11) detected and activated it with only a click or two. I assumed that since the PC had bluetooth capability already there would be a conflict or issue of some sort but nope, it worked just fine. I'm now able to use the wireless controllers without concern for where in the room I happen to be standing or whether something is in between myself and the receiver (though I do still get the best results when the PC / receiver doesn't have anything in front of it). The adapter had a good range of positions which it firmly retains, and the antenna is about half a foot long. I got exactly what I was looking for at a very affordable price. I'm satisfied.

Yes, you read the headline correctly. I have an incredibly weird fear of the dreaded headphone bump. Now... before you dismiss that as totally irrational, I highly recommend doing some research into it. Anyway. I work 45+ hours a week in front of a computer. While I finally moved away from customer service and don't have to take customer calls anymore (I SWEAR I hear Angels sing every time I get to say that), I still like to stream and listen to music during my day. I recently received these wireless headphones to try (https://amzn.to/3UtDi4N) and needed a way to connect them to my PC as it doesn't have bluetooth. The physical quality of this unit seems pretty reasonable. It is a solid little piece. I don't understand ANY of the technical information for this device. I am not totally useless, I get things done and that's about it. I just can't speak to any of the specifications. Long story short, I plugged this in and it was a breeze to set up and it was done in minutes. The connection seems good. I haven't noticed any interference from other devices or anything like that. I haven't exceeded the distance in my apartment yet, but I haven't really tried to push it to test the transmission range. Overall, pretty happy with this. .
