I ordered this on a whim because I have a 2 year old son who loves dinosaurs and also does not know almost any of his letters, so I figured this would be a good way to get him more used to letters and matching them up. Honestly, I think these are just kind of fun-ish but don't really do anything to actually facilitate learning, at least when compared to any other games or card games or anything out there that actually teach kids letters and numbers and stuff, but it's fun enough for little kids to match up the dinosaurs I guess. Honestly I was hoping it would do more actual learning stuff, but it's literally just "match front half of dinosaur with back half of dinosaur" and that's it, you can do it without utilizing any letters at all pretty much. That being said, I think if you really push your child to match the dinosaur parts based on letters instead of color and shape then you could probably teach them their letters using this, at least a little bit, but if you're really trying to teach your kid letters I would highly recommend doing some kind of matching game instead. (For my 2 and 4 year old we've done "Go Fish" with images from Eric Carle's books and it's been amazing, every time we do something like "Do you have an 'E' for "Elephant" and the kids learn how to say the letter itself, learn to associate it with a word, and learn what the letters look like when they're searching for the card. Definitely could not recommend that game enough.) Overall I give this a 7/10, kind of recommend, it's fun for young kids and has dinosaurs and colors and matching so they'll probably enjoy it, but personally I think there's better options out there to teach kids their letters than this set.

These dinos are cute and seem to be high quality. It helps with letters, but it's also fun to mix them up a bit. Bonus is that they seem easy to clean!

Our 1 year old really enjoys playing with these and taking the dinosaurs apart and putting them back together. For now he enjoys taking them apart mostly but when he gets older we'll practice putting the right letters/numbers together. They're a great interactive learning tool for toddlers.
