I like that the strobe let's you choose 50 or 60 Hz to match any strobe disc. It's also plenty bright, much better than the old school neon bulbs. The included strobe disc is a tight fit on the turntable spindle, but it works fine and has both 50 and 60 Hz markings. Price for the set is a good value.

The LoopTone strobe light is actually fine and worked well enough to set the speed on my turntable. Now the LoopTone Disc is another matter altogether. The tiny disc, barely larger than a record label is a waste of money. The disc is just too small and the characters are nearly impossible to read. The size of the disc prohibits an accurate calibration. Essentially you are really just paying for the Strobe light, I guess they throw in the disc for good measure. ( no pun intended) I purchased this item already having an idea that the disc would probably be of no use and I was right. The Strobe light was the least expensive on ZeeBooth or anywhere else for that matter. I plan on keeping the Strobe light. Just know that if you purchase this item you may want to simultaneously purchase a "full size" disc that can actually be read, just as I had to do.

Once I figured out how to use this I tested it out on my direct drive table which had perfect accuracy. I then tested my belt driven turntable and was able to see that my table is running slightly faster than it should be on both 33 and 45 rpm. I do recommend this product. Only gripe I have is that it should come with a small instruction booklet in order to understand how to use it. Once you figure it out it's a great tool for checking your tables.

This is just what I needed! The electronic light is a very nice touch, saving me finding a neon light to work with the strobe. The disc works with 50 or 60 cycle units, but for 33-1/3 at 60, one has to use the small dots on the outermost ring, which are a bit hard for my eyes to follow. But I managed do get by with the "fine print" and learned what I needed to know. If it were my product, I would print on both sides, one for 50 and one for 60, so it would be easier to see no which AC you had. Nevertheless, I would absolutely recommend this!
