I've never embroidered before, and this was so easy to learn! Love the fun pattern!

This was my first ever embroidery project and I LOVED it! Everything was high quality and it came with plenty of thread and 3 needles. The instructions were minimal but I just looked up videos for how to do the different stitches. This piece took me about 6-8 hours to do.

To keep my mother mentally stimulated in her retirement, I'm taking her to a weekly stitchery group. I knit, another works on quilting, two crochet, and my mom is getting back into embroidery. I had a huge amount of fun picking out projects for her, some for holidays, others for beauty, and a few for me. Yes, I am making my mom embroider "What the Hell" in elegant script above lovingly rendered flowers. My mom gave me a look, grinned, and started sorting the kit. The kit is excellent! It's got everything she needs to get started after giving up stitchery thirty years ago. The yarn is numbered and sorted, the kit has two needles, the pattern is easy to read, in short, it's perfect for her needs and abilities. We were all impressed with how good her embroidery looked considering it's been thirty years, but the kit makes it easy and works with her precise style. If you want to get started, this is a good kit with a nod to the subversive rebel who loves stitchery.

I LOVE this pattern and am super new at cross stitching which is why I opted for a pre-patterned canvas, however, I was sent an incorrect color and one was missing completely so I had to improvise with some other colors that I already had from another kit to complete it. The instructions aren't detailed at all but a simple youtube search on certain / unfamiliar stitches sufficed for me and I completed this one pretty easily / fast! Overall I'm still really pleased with how this one came out and would recommend it to others, but CHECK the threads before beginning so that if threads are incorrect / missing you can return and get the correct / different kit.
