We have a long hair chihuahu/mutt with doggie dementia, and significant loss of hearing and eyesight. In the last year he has become fearful of his surroundings, understandably, and taking him to the groomers is no longer an option. Living in the desert, our dogs have very short haircuts in the summer to keep cooler. We have clippers and have used those for in between grooming appointments but have no experience or luck with a full haircut. The clippers not only frighten him but can quickly make a mess of his hair, I know. These LovinPet Dog Grooming Scissors Set have all the scissors we need to try to even up his hair. They are sharp so easy to use, can sneak up and cut a clump off and not have to worry about poking him, love the rounded ends. The sizes are great, I have used the smallest on our other dog to trim around her eyes, works great. The larger scissors allow me to attempt to even up the jagged places. I am sure the thinning shears would be great for around his mane. Basically, we are trying to keep him comfortable and hygiene with the least amount of fear, looks are not our biggest worry. The set itself looks great though, designed to be held without slipping and they feel very sturdy, says they are made of Germany Stainless Steel. I am sure if we knew what we were doing and the dog was more cooperative, you could give an excellent haircut with these. The price is very reasonable, less than the cost of one grooming. I hope to have these many years and through several dogs, I may even get good at dog grooming at some point.

These are decent scissors and the set comes with pretty much all I needed to get an ok haircut on my dog. The only downside is a couple of the scissors arent very sharp all the way on the blades.

I'm astounded at the value with this product. Firstly, it comes with a nice, green case and everything fits inside very nicely. Second, it has multiple scissors for various uses when grooming your pet, and they are nice and sharp. They also come with the colored circles to place inside the holes of the scissors, This is a great product at an exceptional price, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

This is a very nice quality set of grooming scissors, pretty much all the sizes and varieties that you might need unless you are doing very specialized grooming. The scissors are sharp and operate smoothly. I will say, the cushion rings seem to pop out fairly easily, so I'm trying the different colors to see if that makes a difference. Not a total gamechanger, but a little bit irritating. I love having the rounded safety ends so that accidental pokes don't happen. I'm not a pro groomer, so it's just a great safety feature. The smallest scissor is great for getting in and around feet and ears - any place where you want to be a little careful! If you have to do occasional grooming or groom often, it's really worth it to have a good set of scissors so that you can get what needs to be done without extra time and effort, which just makes it more unpleasant for the dog! These scissors and a medium sized cordless trimmer get the job done for me and my dog is happy with the results!!

My angora cat needs constant grooming and she detests any way electronics, so these! What a nice selection of sizes and types of scissors! I can thin out the thickest areas, thin then cut out mats, get at the smaller areas with smaller clips and take on large swaths with larger clips. There are plastic inserts for the finger grips if you have smaller fingers and a cleaning cloth. The case is sturdy, the zipper good quality. Easy storage! Elastic straps inside keep the scissors in their respective spots. No jumble of equipment! Loving this set!
