The needles are made of stainless steel so rusting isn't a problem and there are 6 different size needles to choose among. The needle threaders make threading a needle so much easier and faster. The seam ripper helps make repairs so much easier, so you can start with a neater surface to work on. There is a small round box to hold the contents and keep them together. I decided to replenish my sewing repair supplies and thought this kit would work well. It has a good selection of needles, a few needle threaders, and a seam ripper. All I really needed to complete the kit was some thread, a couple of safety pins, and a small pair of scissors. I got those items together and put them together in a small plastic bag that now sits at the bottom of my tote. I am now better prepared to take care of small repair jobs that suddenly occur. The quality of the pieces in the kit is fine, and I think they will last a good long time. It was well priced and I am now better prepared for some of life's little bumps.

Im constantly having to replace a button or fix an area where the seams have come loose because I ripped out the the loose threads versus being patient and cutting with scissors. Since Ive had this kit, I have sewn a dozen or different things that are now back into my clothing every day line up. I had so many items that I was on the verge of throwing a way. The needle threaders are so handy for my old tired eyes. Even I can thread those tiny needles. Its a great starter set and have no complaints. I even keep everything in the resealable bag they provided. Recently I showed my grandkids how to sew. Its awesome and hopefully they never forget this valuable skill.

If you are doing any kind of hand sewing, there are a variety of needle sizes to choose from as well as a seam-ripper/pick and those little doohickeys that help you thread needles. It doesnt come with thread, of course, but it has a needle sized to fit just about any size of thread. All in a nice little package. A good deal.
