Lutein is supposed to be pretty good for eye health (particularly as one ages). This seems to be a good source of lutein (particularly if you aren't one to enjoy kale, spinach, broccoli, or most other foods that are high in lutein). At ~$15 for a month's supply, it's an okay value, I think. The gummies taste pretty good, though!

This review is for the Zetelixia lutein and zeaxanthin supplement, in a chewable "gummy" formula. Theres currently no recommended dietary intake for lutein and zeaxanthin, and the amount your body requires will vary widely with age, eating habits, and the amount and types of stress you endure. Smokers may need more, as they tend to have lower levels of carotenoids, compared to non-smokers. Americans, on average, consume 13 mg of lutein and zeaxanthin daily, however it takes more than this to reduce the risk of age-related macular degeneration. 620 mg of dietary lutein per day are suggested as a baseline, and one study in particular, the "Age-Related Eye Disease Study 2" (AREDS2) found that 10 mg of lutein and 2 mg of zeaxanthin caused significant reductions in the progression of this condition. Zetelixia's easy-to-swallow supplement contains 12.5 mg of lutein per gummy, sourced from marigold flower extract, and 2.5 mg of zeaxanthin, also from marigold. The recommended serving size is TWO gummies per day, for a total of 25mg of lutein, and 5mg of zeaxanthin, but the great thing about this product is that you can easily drop down to a more "standard" dosage by taking one gummy instead of two. The product is shaped and sized like a traditional gummy bear, and supposedly mango-flavored. It's reasonable palatable, with a slightly funky, vitamin-y aftertaste. You get 60 in a bottle, and my bottle arrived securely sealed, with plastic shrink wrap around the outside , and a foil security seal under the lid. The product is vegan, and free from GMOs, preservatives, artificial colors, dairy, soy, eggs, nuts, gluten, sugar, and gelatin (the gummy base is made primarily from organic tapioca pectin). Each chew does contain small amounts of sodium and carbohydrate. I have been taking these for about a week now, and I can't say that my vision has gotten any better, but it also hasn't gotten any worse, so I'll continue using supplements like these lutein gummies to slow or halt the eye-aging process, while I wait for a method to actually reverse it.

These lutein gummies have a delicious apricot flavor. They melt in your mouth, you hardly have to chew them. That's big plus because the rubbery capsules I usually take get stuck. The ingredients list the same amount of lutein and zeaxanthin as the ones at the drug store. I'm glad manufacturers are getting hip to the need for 'third party lab testing' but that doesn't mean anything to you or me unless they tell us WHICH lab. Fortunately these are also GMP certified so there is some quality assurance. The price on these is the same as a 30 day supply of rubbery capsules, so it's not a bargain, but I prefer the form and flavor of these gummies so much more!

Taste really good! The quality of the flavor and texture is very well made. It has a good number of the main ingredient (lutien) and doesnt leave your stomach groawling from antibiotics. The value for quantity is decent and fair. So far I haven't used it enough to see any improvement, so I cant say how it's peforming. Overall it's been a great product so far.

These gummies have a slight mango taste. They are easy to chew and swallow and taste good. Can't confirm if they help my eye health or not after taking for a month.
