I purchased this bag to use while traveling to store my medications in. It was the perfect size for travel and was easy to set up and use. I can see it being used to store jewelry, cash, medication and other small items of value. I cannot comment on the smell-proof feature, but as for it being sturdy, it is made of quality material that feels weather-proof and durable. The zipper is high quality too and locks easily. Initial set up was a breeze and once I set my 3-digit code, I was ready to go! This bag isn't fool proof. A good pair of scissors would open it right up if someone was determined to get inside, but it is a decent deterrent and would definitely keep smaller children out of it. All in all, for my purposes I was very satisfied with my purchase and would recommend it to others looking to purchase a locking bag.
