Works great - clips well. Not overly loud. Easy to clean and use - comes with everything shown and is a great kit for at home grooming and touch ups.

This trimmer is indeed a little quieter, however, it still makes enough noise to disturb my cat and cause her to pull away, requiring I scruff her to keep her still. The only (major) problem is it just doesn't cut my cat's fur well. After a bunch of passes over the same area, I just ended up with a very patchy look. When I switched to my normal "human" trimmer, it was louder, but got the job done cleanly, evenly, and quickly. (I don't like cutting her fur, but she's been overheating a lot when she goes outside.)

I love having a cordless shaver. It's so much easier to chase our cats and dogs around if it's not plugged in! I know they can have a shorter life, and I haven't had this very long so I can't speak to its durability (yet). It charges easily and comes with a charging cable where the end that connects to the clipper is pretty specific to this clipper, so it's important to not lose track of that charging cable, since it's not universal. It does connect to any usb charging block (this kit does not come with a charging block). It does come with cleaning oil, a cleaning brush, scissors, a comb, adapters, toenail clippers and a nail file. It's not the quietest shaver I've had, but it's not super loud either. It should be fine with an animal who is ok with getting groomed.

Great for cats, and dogs - any animal that has fur that can get tangled or matted easily. We brush/groom our cats weekly (minimum) in this household. We currently have a five-cat household. Four of our cats are long-haired. As any cat owner knows, matting is part of a cat's job description when they are long-haired even with brushing every other day. We make sure to comb all the way through and the key is to pull off any and ALL loose fur. It is loose fur that weaves into healthy fur and creates matted fur. With clippers, we are always looking for the ones that make the least amount of noise, and that are cordless to allow you to get into hard-to-reach places. So far these clippers rank higher in the list of clippers that we have us e as far as minimal noise, so that is definitely a plus. It is very important though to note that if your pet is long-haired, you need to manually trim their hair with scissors before using these clippers otherwise the blades can get stuck and pull the hair which isn't enjoyable for your pet. On top of this, the trimmer kit includes extra guards and a pair of scissors - great for any type of trimming you want to do. The kit also contains a claw trimmer. The plastic had very rough, sharp plastic shots. I was able to make these disappear by using a heavy-duty fingernail file meant for fingernail tips. Also contains oil and a brush to keep the blades clean and lubricated properly. Charging is done vi should give these a chance.
