Update 12/30/23: These are the notes for Glossy listed on multiple sites. Top Notes: Vanilla, Spices Heart Notes: Cinnamon, Orris, Jasmine Base Notes: Amber, Musk Do I think they are what this perfume smells like, absolutely not. I took a gamble when I bought this because the notes above I would have adored too but the bottle and a couple of other reviews on the internet made me suspect it wasn't going to gives Christmas sweet spices vibes. Vanilla and cinnamon are my favorite notes together. Yet, I'm smelling pear, rose, musk and vanilla. Maybe you'll smell the notes for Glossy and it won't be Idole twist for you. I'm going above and beyond in this review because I don't want you to spend your money, even this amount, and regret it. Original Review- This is the second rose fragrance I have ever enjoyed. Rose can go wrong in a lot of ways but this is so likeable for me. Good longevity and good scent bubble. Super enjoyable perfume that is sweet, musky, slightly fruity, fresh, rose vanilla with a dash of luxe detergent. Thought I'd mention this before going deeper into this review. Smells like a sweeter Idole. First spray and the pear was bursting juicy. It's a crazy sweet opening. After five minutes it calmed down and I could smell a rose vanilla musk. The musk could be a bit much for some Sometimes it comes across like luxury detergent but it's super pleasant. On my skin the pear disappears quickly but on clothes the pears stays with the rose. Gently sweet with a pinch of that pear tartness. It's more musky on my skin and more fresh on clothes. Glossy is a pretty and feminine scent. If you don't like it someone you know will. I just want to add I didn't like the You're the One body mist from the well known body product retailer. I thought the rose in it was super dry and overpowering in an unpleasant way. One spray almost gave me a headache and I'm not sensitive to strong scents like that. I mention that because that mist is a supposed dupe for Idole but Glossy is a dupe of Idole. Maybe it's the sweeter twist with Glossy but it smells delightful to my nose. The pear keeps the rose from being too dry. This perfume is a heavy hitter to my nose. Sticks to clothes easily. Every time I move I can smell this perfume from my clothes and it's been eleven hours. Great price and great quality. Easy reach perfume on days you don't want to smell something complex. At the price it is (basically $18) it blind bought itself for me, lol. I hope all this information helps because the fragrance notes I've seen for this perfume didn't match what my nose picked up. Maybe you'll smell something different but I like to think it helps knowing what others pick up too. Update: This is a dupe not a clone. A dupe is going to get you close to what it's duping. Dupes aren't always a perfect match. A clone is an exact copy which Glossy is not. It's Idole with a twist. Now, it could be one of Idole's flankers, I don't know. I smell the notes that make up Idole and if you look at the notes listed in the description here on ZeeBooth they are the notes for Victor and Rolf's Flowerbomb. Other sites will say the notes are vanilla and spicy, which they aren't. If it helps don't buy this as a one for one clone of Idole but if you like the description I gave then go ahead and buy it because it really does smell lovely and the price is great.
