The calendar, eraser, and 4 dry erase pens came in the box in pic 1. All have magnets on the back of them. The calendar lays flat in the box and has not been rolled up. It has a strong magnet on the back and sticks to my curved refrigerator door securely. It will not fall off, even if I slam the door accidentally. The magnets on the pens are lightweight. If I find that they have a tendency to fall off when using the door, I will just keep them on the side of the refrigerator to alleviate that problem. I am very pleased with the space available for writing on each day. I would recommend this calendar to help with your daily/weekly/monthly reminders.

What I love about this is that it seems it'll last us a long time. My boyfriend and I have constantly changing schedules, so we wanted something to put it on and place where we both will see it, and can update it as we need. These two giant schedule magnets solve that for us, and also help us plan future dates and days off together, or especially if one of us has an event/function that we need to remind the other. We haven't used it long enough to know how easy it is to clean off, but a quick swipe test has us confident it'll come off no problem!

I have had dry-erase monthly minders in the past. They've always been the kind that have a small frame around them, like a whiteboard that you might see in a classroom. The user had to attach magnets to the four corners of them and then hope that they didn't fall off every time someone slammed the refrigerator door (the most common place I hang them). The squares were small, and a lot of the real estate of the monthly calendar was taken up with the frame. This calendar/minder solves all of that. It's roughly the same size as those framed ones, but since the entire thing is magnetic, there's no need to glue little magnets onto the back AND it sticks firmly. The individual "day" squares are bigger, and it's brighter and more appealing than the old ones. All in all, a great improvement in design and function! As a bonus, this one also comes with a magnetic sheet that's a weekly minder. I don't know if I have the time to fill one of these out weekly, but I can see where it would be helpful. It would force you to look through your calendar on Sunday and remind yourself of everything you've got coming up that week. I work out of town a lot, and I could see this being useful for nothing more than writing "home" or "away" on each day of the week so that everyone will know whether or not to expect to see me around the house! I like these a lot and would recommend them highly!

I'm reviewing the MaxGear Magnetic Monthly Calendar Dry Erase Whiteboard Calendar, 11"x14", No Accessories. I ordered this because I wanted to be able to have two months worth of planning on my refrigerator, and I already had a one-month calendar that I like pretty well. As it turns out, my other calendar is wider than 14 inches, and this one is narrower. I really dislike the way the two of them look when placed adjacently, so that's a bummer. The calendar seems fine. Both dry erase and wet erase markers (that I already own) write on it and can be cleanly erased or wiped off. What you should know and keep in mind is that each square is only about 1 and 7/8 inch by slightly less than 1.5 inch. That is not a lot of space, especially if you're using the typical markers.
