Beautiful color does not write smooth at least the black ink but great if using for presentation. Nice heavy weight, multiple colors refills

Here we have a decent rollerball pen with a pretty design, and comes with one black ink refill installed and 10 extra - 8 more in black, one blue, and one red. At the time I requested one they were selling for $10, which was good for what you get, but I see they've been marked down to $5 at time of writing. Despite the flaws that's a really good value, but there are some flaws. First thing, upon removing the cap, the rubber internal cap liner wasn't properly screwed in and stayed on the pen. Without this piece, the cap won't stay on, so I had to recap the pen and twist it in there until it was secure and then it worked properly. The refill tips are wax sealed, which is good, but they're too soft and don't remove as cleanly as one would like. This can mess with writing performance if there's residue left, and it took more than a few tries to get the tip clean enough to use. After that, the performance was spotty (probably still some wax) and took a bit of writing and use to smooth out. And then it's fine - it writes about as well as any good fine point pen on the market, like a Pentel Energel or a Pilot G2, with the dark lines you'd expect from a gel or rollerball pen. Pretty good, considering it comes with all the refills. The refills themselves are of the common rollerball size as well; after testing the stock refill I put in an OTHO C-305 ceramic rollerball refill in and it fit perfectly (with no wobble in the tip) so you have options if you don't care for the refills it comes with. I suspect Energel or Pilot G2 (not Parker) refills would also work in it as they do in my other rollerballs, but I haven't tested this. But honestly the stock ones aren't bad at all. So it's not perfect and it gets 4 stars because of that, but the value here is hard to beat. A great looking pen that won't break your wallet, comes with refills, takes many different refills, and if you beat it up or lose the thing you're not out a wad of cash. Pen snobs might look elsewhere (and most of them prefer fountain pens anyway) but for the average person this is not a bad place to start if you like the style and want to experiment with fancy pens and/or refills on a budget. At $5, I can easily recommend it.

It writes well enough and came with several of refills including different colors. That's what a pen should be. For the price that's fair for the amount of refills it came with but the good ends there. Out of the pack the insert for the pen cap was stuck on the head of the pen. After taking the rubber insert off I had to screw it back into the cap in order to even keep the cap on. This made me realize the only thing keeping the cap on is friction between the head of the pen and the rubber insert in the cap, which requires a but of extra force to ensure it sits far enough on to ensure the cap doesn't randomly fall off. Doing so though causes indentation and marring on the head of the pen as my picture shows. This is because the pen itself is completely plastic. It may look, and want to be a very nice pen but it falls short. But, it works just fine. There are plenty of fancier pens and pens that write better but this ones flaws has me slightly disappointed.
