EDIT: I originally gave this product five stars after using for a couple of weeks, but now I have to edit my review. I am nearing the finish line on my quilt and one of the clamps has cracked. It no longer holds efficiently. Quilting with three clamps just isn't good enough. I'll have to find something else. I recommend purchasing something else if you want more than one projects worth out of this frame. This frame works great! I have been using it to hold a quilt sandwich while hand quilting and it's been working perfectly. The pieces were a little difficult to take off at first, but after taking them off and putting back on a handful of times, they loosened up just enough to remove without struggle. It's also a nice size to be able to reach all around.

Works better than anticipated. It is easy to assemble. The claps are a little tight & can be hard to remove but that is what keeps the fabric tight while on the frame. It's larger than the traditional embroidery frames which means I can do more before having to make adjustments.

I use the square embroidery hoop for quilting. I find that it covers more area than a standard circular hoop.

I have not used one like this before and was concerned after I got it that it would not fit around a quilt due to the thickness, but it does work! It is very difficult to remove the plastic parts that attach, both at first and when changing to another position on the quilt, that is a draw back and if you don't have much strength it will be difficult. I used a butter knife to pry it up a little. I was using a smaller round wooden hoop before and wanted a little more room so I did not have to reposition it so often and this works for me. But I wish it was easier to take off the quilt--it actually is really easy to put on the quilt, but once you have to take it off again it is kind of hard to do. Does not stretch it out too much and there is not a way to adjust it once you have it set up (make it more taut or straighten out wrinkles etc.), but that has not been an issue for me.

This is basically impossible to remove from the fabric. I have tried removing the frame different ways and it took both me and my spouse pulling on the frame clamps to remove my cross stitch. It almost damaged my fabric in the process.
