Works well, plenty stout for a hard-pulling 60 lb dog. Good attachment rings for leash and tags. Can be used as a martingale or regular collar, depending on where you attach the leash.

Edit: after using this for several months Ive had some issues. The collar does not stay adjusted to the right size it loosens with use and Ive had to readjust it with every use. Not a big deal for me as Im obsessed with checking gear before each use anyway. The REAL PROBLEM is that if your using a regular clip on leash the squared corners on the d rings for this collar can cause it to slip off the leash. We lost 3 chickens when this happened with our 7mo old Mal pup while he was tied out. It doesnt happen from pulling its from when the corner of the dring hits the clip just right and causes it to slip off. Hard to explain. I thought it was a fluke but it happened two more times while out walking. I still like the collar enough to keep using it but I will be changing to a lead with a locking clip to ensure we don't have the problem again. Original: Very happy with this collar it has several features all in one and it looks great. I have a 6month Malinois who still struggles on occasion with pulling on the leash. I don't like having to use different collars because we train during normal walking & playing behavior so I need the transitions to be fluid without him adjusting behavior just because Im putting on new gear. This one allows me to switch it up from casual to training mode without him even realizing it. I did not like the martingales that had to slip over the head. I was always having to adjust them before and after putting then on it was a hassle. I like that this one buckles on & off and has separate d rings for either martingale use or standard collar use. When its on it does not look like a martingale it looks like a normal collar. It even has a separate ring for the id tag which is a huge bonus. Its good quality and thick with reflective stitching, I expect it to last a long time. I bought the medium which fits comfortably and has plenty of room for growth.

Disclaimer: I was given a free collar in exchange for an honest review I got the large size and it was perfect for my 140 lb Great Dane mix. He wore it for a week before I dropped him off for boarding over the holidays; I will update my review if I notice anything new when I pick him up :) When I first saw the collar in real life I worried it might be too stiff, but its actually less stiff than some collars Ive seen, though I would not characterize it as soft, either. Pretty typical nylon collar, I would say. My dog showed zero signs of discomfort while wearing it. Easy to adjust, and the buckle clips easily enough without being so easy that I would worry about my doogie accidentally unclipping it during play. The make appears very durable so far, and I am not concerned about the hardware or stitching failing, though since I always use a harness when walking my dog I did not fully put it to the test. I did, however, use it for a training session and it held up just fine when my dog lunged for a rabbit. I love that this collar has two potential leash clips: one right by the buckle and the other on the martingale portion. There is also a very small plastic ring that I presume was intended for tags. Im always skeptical of plastic, so opted to use the ring by the buckle for tags instead, but it seemed fairly sturdy, as long as the dog wouldnt often snag their tags on something. This would then enable you to switch freely between the martingale and traditional collar style rings. Overall this collar seems to be a great, quality product that fills a needed gap in the market (I know many friends who regularly wish for the security of a martingale with the ease of use of a buckle collar). I would prefer if the nylon were a little bit less stiff/softer, but my dog didnt care at all, so its not a serious issue. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a martingale/buckle hybrid.
