The Born4ship thermal printer is my second. I wanted it as it handles slightly wider paper. As a thermal printer, the only thing you need is thermal paper. There are no other consumables like ink to toners. One limit is that you can only print in black. The TP6-S printer works really well. In addition to text, you can also print images (not the greatest quality) and other graphics. You need to download the app from your preferred store. It is easy to get and easy to pair with the printer. The app comes with templates you can use. The print quality is fine for most uses and marginal for pictures. I noticed that several reviewers have given less than stellar reviews solely due to the manufacturer not including a roll of adhesive paper. This does not seem warranted as they clearly state that in the product description. I used the provided roll to familiarize myself with the printer. All users will need to purchase consumables to fully utilize this printer and there are many sources with reasonably priced thermal paper, both adhesive and not.

This is a robust built little thermal printer. It requires an app, not my favorite thing, but it is easy to install by scanning the QR code that is located on the back of the printer. The app doesn't allow for a lot of creativity. You do have to use it to print, so I actually used a different creator app and then downloaded the images and selected "photo" in the printing app to open the image I wanted. I tried printing both photos and labels. Both print easily and quickly. Quality of the image differs though. I do actually wish this was a lotrle bigger, but it is a "pocket" printer so I am reviewing as such. I would use this for printing small labels. Spice jar labels or small jar/container labels would be best. It would likely be too small of a label for larger items. It works really well for small labels though! I would not recommend this for printing photographs. I posted a simple zoomed in example here, but the more detail a photo has, the darker and less clear it is. All of the photos I printed came out much darker, and the pixelation is noticeable in any dark gray scale areas. The only photo printing I would use it for, would be if I took a picture of a graph or line drawing that could then be helpful pasted into one of the kids school notes, like an anatomy diagram. That would be awesome! My review rating would be different for printing photographs vs printing labels or images of diagrams etc. If it was only listed as a photograoj printer, I would give it less stars for that use. So I recommend noting what you want to use it for, and deciding that way if it is a good purchase for you or not. My rating is based on printing simple line images. It is great small and portable printer for labels and simple line images!
