Got it for my hubby's 50 gallon tank at his work office. It's about 30 inches deep, so good luck finding a scraper on a handle that long (I know because we tried for a year!) He's loving this magnetic algae scraper and that he can clean it any time without soaking his shirt. Simple to use and excellent value. Performed well and the two pieces hold together stability even with the 1/4 inch glass of the tank. His secretary even comes in the office to feed his fish and scrape the tank when he's on business trips.

I am in an aquarium club and have several fish tanks. Keeping them clean can be a bit of a chore. A good magnetic cleaner makes that chore much easier. This cleaner has a strong magnet. I used it on my 180 gallon tank that has thick glass and it held on tight. The magnet is strong enough to allow the cleaner to be "scooted" around the square corner of a fish tank. That makes cleaning much easier. Like most magnetic cleaners these days, if the inside part comes loose it floats. That makes it easier to get hold of to reconnect or remove from the tank. I have other magnetic cleaner that have the plastic blade for scraping algae. None of them work. I'm happy to report that the plastic blade on this cleaner does exactly what it is supposed to do. It even does a decent job getting into corners and down along the gravel line. This is also the largest cleaner I have. I'd suggest getting one of the smaller ones for your smaller tanks. The photo shows the cleaner in my 180 where I've done maybe a minute worth of cleaning. The space just above the cleaner is nearly free of algae, and the space below the cleaner is the stuff my algae eaters left behind. Just a few more minutes of cleaning and the glass would be clear and bright. Price wise, this cleaner is in the same range as the others cleaner of the same size. It's within a couple of dollars of the last cleaner I bought, but it works better than that one. The only thing I'd change about this cleaner would be to have it be black. I like to leave a cleaner in each of my tanks and the black ones aren't as noticeable when parked up in a back corner.
