Nice wallet

Lots of these kind of wallets out there so I will just mention what I like. I prefer the cardholder kind with a push button for the cards but this one (unlike many others that are just 2 plates and an elastic band) has a unique little thumb hole to push the cards out manually that works better than those that just have a little thumb slot on the side (probably just because it works from the end of the card, not the side and is a little longer than most). The elastic works well for bills and has not stretched out after several months of use though I always worry this will happen eventually. Primarily it is for a stack of cards with just a few bills anything more and the bills get pretty worn. Did not test the RFID blocking but just about anything metal will do that.

I love it, only replaced the cord because I didnt like the feel. I carry a little cash and 7 cards and it works perfectly.

Sturdy but heavy

Exactly like the description on the product page. It is a minimalist design - what can be simpler than two metal plates being held together by an elastic band? The grooved aluminum plates appear solid and appealing. Not sure whether its scratch resistant but the metal blue model looks very sharp. The elastic band is pretty strong. I tested how secure this wall is holding 1-6 credit cards. I shook the wallet violently to see whether the cards slipped out. Interestingly, the cards slip out more easily with more cards because the frictions between cards are not as strong as the frictions between cards and the metal plates. However, it took a lot of shaking to dislodge any card so I am not too concerned about losing cards that way. Pushing the cards out is straightforward. Obviously, if you plan on carrying lots of cards, you may find it tedious to find the card you want in the whole deck. I plan on carrying no more than three cards so I do not see the problem. The lanyard can be removed if desired. However, it does add a little bit more security. Finally, it is heavier than I expected. This is the only negative for me.

Okay, but could be better

I can't really say how well the RFID blocking works, because it's not like someone who tries to steal my card info is gonna stop me and complain about not being able to. However, it is thick, heavy, and feels metallic. So, I'm guessing it does the job. As for the wallet itself, you are basically getting two pieces of metal held together with elastic. There is no mechanical release or ejection for your cards; you simply push them up with your thumb from the one exposed corner. This method means that when you push them up, all of your cards come out together or at least stuck together in clumps. So, if you need a specific card, you'll have to push them all up, fan them out, pick the one you need and push the rest back. Also, if you want to add an extra card in, I find it is easier if you slide the ones already in the wallet out about halfway and then slide them all back in together. I haven't used cash in ages, but the exterior band seems to have enough tension to hold it in. You may want to be careful removing it from your pocket though. If you catch the edge of your pocket it may push the cash out. I didn't realize this when looking at the item photos, but there is no solid edge to the wallet anywhere. I don't think your cards will just fall out, but you may want to keep the cord on the bottom attached, as that keeps them from coming out the other end. The cord itself feels really cheap; it seems to just be a super thin strip of leather that was painted with a rubbery black coating. It doesn't have the flexibility or friction to want to hold the knot that it comes put in. So, it may just fall out at some point. I certainly wouldn't use the cord to hang your wallet from anything. As it is, it basically just serves as the wallet's bottom. The wallet feels solid and is weightier than a standard leather wallet when empty. The color looks nice, but there are already a few minor scratches with silver showing through. The elastic used to hold it all together feels strong, but I'm not a huge fan of the overall design. That said, if you want a wallet that is truly minimalist in everything except weight, I'd say this one will do.
