Ordered 2 of them and neither worked.

I thought being a Monoprice product these were going to be good. Ive got two of them years ago for my computer monitors. This adapter looks cheap and even performs like it. Ive tried two of them and both have had video issues. Using the adapter my picture would go in and out. Without the cable my picture is fine. Things are a piece of junk. They USED to be good but not anymore!

Good alternative to 90 degree adapters

Using this with a BenQ projector for strain relief on a heavy hdmi cable (which can now hang vertically) and to reduce the needed clearance behind the projector. Ive only tested at 1080p. Unlike the 90 degree bend adapters, this one sticks out a little bit (about 1 inch), which is exactly what I needed. My projector has the hdmi port recessed about an inch with little clearance, causing the typical 90 degree adapter to point directly into plastic. I also expect this to be sturdier than the ones that swivel in multiple axes.

Not bad, not great

Works with some devices, but not all. I like using these on cameras that have cramped connection areas. It gets tree stars for working most of the time.

Super Clever!

These things are very clever. I had been searching for something to help adapt my Roku stick to the back of my HDTV (that particular HDMI port is in a little inset on the back of the TV which precluded the Roku Stick from being able to install directly). I was extremely skeptical that this would work well. But it has. It beats having to figure out which is the best solution and it seems to work as well as rigid adapters. This is another item that was originally purchased for the work setup and I bought some for the home. Super handy just to have honestly - if someone brings something by and wants to plug it in you don't have to worry about them clumsily destroying your TV ports.
