I will preface this review by saying that I've been working with animals and in the veterinary field for over 50 years. I currently have four small breed dogs but have owned large breed dogs and other animals for years. I have two of the snuggle versions heartbeat toys that have been chewed up and when I saw this moose, I decided to try it and see if it would survive better. The moose is a nice large size. I have smaller dogs, but they like their toys to be big enough to drag around by the ears. My dogs have some fears of thunder so I was hoping this would be a good thing to have in their beds at night if a storm came through. The moose is kind of stiff with coarse fur. It's not a toy I would give to a baby but it's nice for a dog. I think it will hold up well to chewing and having it's antlers grabbed and hauled around the house. My youngest loves toys that makes sound so he seems to like the heartbeat sound. It came with the heart and a tiny screwdriver but no batteries. Some dogs will like the heart and some won't. I have 4 dogs and two of them love toys with sounds and two of them totally ignore them so it will just totally depend on your dog. I recommend this toy. If the dog doesn't like the heart you can just remove it.

This moose has been a big hit with the doggies. They carry it around like it's their little furry stuffed buddy. It's so cute. So far, even with them chomping on it, it's held up pretty well and that is a big plus for me. I recommend.

While this is a pet toy - it didn't help ours with anxiety at all if anything they wanted away from it but the mrs loves moose and has anxiety and our youngest loves it too (about 5) so I think milage with pets can vary but its adorableness found a way to stay relevant in our house even if it didn't work out how it was intended.

I bought this toy for my dog for his separation anxiety. We didnt have the same opinion! He wanted to tear it up! So I gave it to my grandson, because its so cute and cuddly. I even turned on the heart. He was totally uninterested. So its in the cupboard. I still think its adorable.

The heartbeat is nice and loud. My dogs all play with it even though it was purchased for our newest puppy. Really well made and the Velcro pouch that holds the heart is very strong.
