At first I was little hesitant on how good this would come out (both how effective and molding process itd turn out). Then I saw the price point vs other sellers here and then dental ones (my dental place is offering 500$) I thought this is something I should try. Glad I did! As you can see the pictures this isnt the perfect mold like the one on the box and maybe its not 100% as it could be. However, this shape was comfortable to me to sleep in! It is a little bulky but I assure you, this was my first time I slept this well and comfortable in my whole life. Growing up I always had jaw issues and it could be due to genetics and anxiety, and believe me I tried a lot of things and nothing has helped. As an adult I started to snore more and at one point due to my grinding issue I even broke a tooth. After all my experience, I do my best to take care of my teeth but money is an issue for most of us. This is a great mouth guard if you are on a budget! I cannot express this message more if you are a grinder, have jaw issues, headaches, jaw pressure and pain waking up PLEASE try this out! Ill admit this took me two tries! I used water that was at 177-178 degrees hot. And submerged it for about 15 seconds. It will be hot and it may not look curled but you will see that the plastic is looking soft (not as sturdy) take it out place it on a towel paper. Leave it for a second or two and place it on your mouth. I used my tongue to create pressure and lips to mold the front and then gently bite down to create a comfortable bite mold. Ill admit I had to redunk it a few times for a few seconds about 5 (less than initial time) to remold areas I felt needed to be tweaked more. I hope this helps! I went through all 8 trying to get a good fit. The instructions are great, I definitely did it right, but it's just so much chunkier that than I thought. I ended up cutting basically all of the sides off so it was just a flat U and that was still too much for me. I got 1 mold that actually feels good to wear and stays on tight, but it took over an hour of trying and I kept remelting and trying again and again. It will NOT look like the picture on the box; that's a stock image of a custom Invisalign-type guard, not a boil and bite. It's impossible for a boil and bite to be that thin. That said, once I got one to actually be a pretty good fit, it's super comfortable to sleep in and I wear it when I'm working at my desk at home since I clench my jaw during the day too. It's very comfortable and works to stop the tension headaches and jaw pain but holy hell is it hard to form. I won't be buying again, as it's shown me that I need to invest in a real custom mouth guard, but it was helpful to see if the clenching/grinding was really my issue. If you don't need a mouth guard in general, just for sports, I think this would be ok but not for kids; its way too big and way too hard to form for a child.

These mouth guards are amazing. Just like my $700+ one from the dentist. Its so easy to customize. Enough in the box for the whole family. Both adults still used the smaller one for best fit (box contains 2 sizes). You can trim the guards but we didnt need to. I heated water on the stove, put a cooking thermometer in there, and heated water to 175 degrees F. I dropped the new guards in one at a time for 15 seconds each. Used a spoon with holes to remove. Placed on paper towel for a few seconds- then just pop in your mouth. They are not hot, just pliable. Hardens quickly. We use every night. Didnt take any time to get used to. I find it comforting to sleep. Knowing Im protecting my teeth is the best. Ive got crowns on back teeth at $2000 each. This mouth guard keeps me from clenching and grinding teeth together. We havent used for sports but Im sure its the slimmest and best fitting for protection during sports activities. Try these before you get into $1000s at your dentist. I recently lost my night mouth guard which I need because I clench my teeth when sleeping. Since it would be a while before I could get it replaced by my dentist, I ordered these. These guards arrived in two days and worked perfectly. They were very easy to conform to my mouth although I didn't read the instructions carefully enough and put mine into boiling water for the full amount of time suggested and ruined the first one. (Per the instructions, you put them in HOT water -- not boiling!) The second try worked beautifully. It is very comfortable to wear and solved my clenching problem. I have since found my original guard so am wearing it but have kept these for emergencies and will also put one in my travel bag. For the price and convenience, they can't be beat!
