All the pens were really nice and the pouch seems durable. I purchased it for my granddaughter's birthday and rolled money around each pen. She loved it.

Pairings seem to be the amethyst and the cornflower blue versions of this brands writing tools. On normal composition notebook weight paper, there is some bleeding through. If you are on journal weight paper it should not be an issue. As compared to the similar but less expensive sets by Mr. Pen, this one has more vividly-colored writing pens (fineliner) which are dark/intense enough to write with and see what you have written. Comparable sets have pale color fineliners which are hard to read and only good for an accent. I appreciate the high quality gel pens for writing, too. One thing that could make this a bit better for me I wish there was a super fine pen, like a 0.24 or 0.3. No huge deal because I buy those separately; but I wish the makers knew that a super fine point is an essential component of any journaling writing tool set, not 0.5. Point five is a bit large for my taste, better for titles and holding. But it seems most Americans use even 0.7 for basic writing. The tools feel well made and even luxurious. I would highly recommend as a gift.

Everything you need to journal on the go (minus a pencil). Would recommend mr.pen adding a pencil to the kit. I am waiting impatiently for them to have more colors! I will order them all!!

Bought this for my daughter. It was very nice, exactly as the picture. She wanted pens for school and these were perfect.
