I bought these scissors because the pair I thought I would use with my new sewing machine wouldn't even cut a thread. I love these. They're easy to use even though they are large scissors. And they cut through several layers with ease. Definitely worth the low price I paid.

Had a very ancient pair (why do we call scissors a pair?) that became rusted. This is a pretty exact replica of them. On a lot of scissors, my thumb gets stuck in the handle, so I was worried that might be the case with these. Fortunately, it wasn't an issue. Hefty, sharp, put together well, very happy with these. So i bought another one. One for sewing and one for the kitchen / house.

Got these to replace my old sewing shears. I love the style, and despite not having rubber grips, these are reasonably comfortable for metal scissors. They're definitely well made, and I have faith these won't break easily. That being said, the pair I received is a little tight, and was pretty squeaky at first. A little WD 40 took care of that thankfully. The other issue is that out of the package, these don't seem quite as sharp as my other scissors did when they were new. They do cut pretty cleanly (cut terry cloth, sweatshirt fleece, snuggle fleece, flannel, and quilting cotton with them so far), but as they are, I would be hesitant to use them to cut something that marrs easily, like gossamer, satin, etc. But they're so good in all other aspects, I might just go get them professionally sharpened. Ultimately , I don't regret this buy.
