My dog will not touch anything that this supplement has been added to (not peanut butter, or anything else she absolutely loves). It has a very strong smell. You know that smell of the old childrens chewable vitamins? Or the distinct smell of liquid childrens antibiotics that you have to refrigerate? Thats how these smell. I cant stand it myself! I previously bought this brands melatonin and lignins separately and they were fine (no smell). I buy another milk thistle product and thryvrobt smell like this, so not sure why this combo pill is so repulsive in scent.

Helps with symptoms but doesnt cure the cushings disease. Some days the symptoms increase (mainly thirst), but he sleeps better and overall the symptoms have lessen some for the most part. It doesnt help after the first pill so be patient. Just starting our second bottle so fingers crossed it continues to help. Hes also on the Nordic Naturals Omega 3 fish oil for the skin & coat issues that come along with the disease. It helps some but isnt a cure either for those symptoms of the disease (salmon oil made him nauseous). Hope this review helps your best friend.

I've been purchasing this brands regular Melatonin for my little 12 yr old Maltese for years. She has some anxiety especially in the evenings so she would get one every night before bed & it's always helped her sleep. She was recently diagnosed with Cushings & the prescription medication Vetoryl caused many terrible side effects, the worst being she had weakening in her back legs & became unable to stand up or walk on her own! My vet said this IS a known side effect of that particular medication but it's very rare. After speaking with her in length about it & getting her okay, I decided to take her off the medication completely & go with a more holistic approach. I learned that Milk Thistle & Lignans were good for treating Cushings naturally & I was happy to find that this particular brand made a Melatonin supplement that included those 2 ingredients so I purchased a bottle immediately! They are chewable & Peanut Butter flavored & my little girl looks forward to getting one every night now! She has been off the prescription medication & taking these instead for about 3 weeks...she's fully regained use of her back legs & her Cushings symptoms (panting, excessive drinking, bloated belly) have all gotten much better! She still has these symptoms but no where near as severe as they were! I would definitely speak with your vet before switching from prescription meds to these as it may not be the right solution for every dog with Cushings & it can be dangerous to suddenly stop a medication without being weaned off slowly but you can also give these along with prescription Cushings medication so it's atleast worth a try in my opinion.

I started this after my dog wasnt getting any better. She had all the symptoms of cushings but no diagnosis. After 2 mos she sleeps all night again and isnt ravenous. She seems happier and not so anxious. She is a lab mix, 12 years old.
