I was sick of getting bug bites every spring/summer, every time I walked outside. Fleas and mosquitoes in our neighborhood are bad. We even upgraded our pest control to take care of them around our house. But Id still get bitten. But then I got this spray and made sure to spray my arms and ankles every time I go out and I havent gotten a bite since! Bonus is I actually love the scent. It is strong but bright smelling.

I don't use chemical pesticides or skin care products so I was excited to try this more natural product for my morning garden time. I applied it to my arms and it burned. I waited, thinking it would just be an initial sensation, but it continues. Even after I washed it off, my arms were red and split by. They were like that for days, and we're irritated. The second time I used it on my clothing. It has a very strong smell, over the eucalyptus, and it was way too much for me. I wore the same garden clothes a few days later to clean up some debris and a bee kept trying to land on my arms. They're attracted to eucalyptus and I'm allergic to bee stings I just can't win with this product. I set it aside thinking my teen children could use it, but they don't like it either. It's too late to return it now, so it will be gifted to someone.

I bought this 2 years ago, used it once, didn't try it again until this summer. We finally were out of DEET products, I couldn't remember what I didn't like that put it on the shelf, so I used it cause I had to. I'm a certified mosquito magnet - they will ignore my wife completely when I'm near her but treat her normally when I am not. Anyway, as soon as I started spraying it EVERYTHING flew away, gnats, flies, skeeters, everything. The smell is definitely what put me off two years ago, but it really didn't bother me at all this time. Not sure what changed between it and me. If there was any downside, it would be that I started to feel really warm on my skin wherever I had sprayed this as soon as I started sweating. Not painful, and once I knew it wasn't going to force an emergency shower, it became easy enough to ignore. I don't remember that happening two years ago. Guess I need to check for an expiration date. However, it was working as intended against the bugs. I will definitely be using this more and will buy this again.

I have been a long time user of the Murphy Mosquito Repellent sticks, but have stayed away from any spray on products because I don't like how my skin feels afterwards. A friend let me try their spray, and I have to say, I am very pleased. It is very effective at keeping the flies and mosquitos away, and I can't tell I have it on my skin, other than the scent. I've found most of the repellent sprays on the market irritate my skin, leaving it dry and broken out in a rash. I've had no negative reactions from Murphy's. We live in an area that has a heavy mosquito population and we can sit out in our backyard and not be an appetizer for the insects.

This product works well on me. The scent is very strong and can be overpowering when sprayed directly on skin. The smell lingers longer in the air when sprayed. I recommend spraying it onto your cupped hands and applying it over your skin. The smell is strong and lingers and this will bother people who have an aversion to strong scents. Also, I use a face mask to apply this as inhaling it is more than I can stand. I also thoroughly wash my hands with soap and warm water afterwards. This leaves me hands unprotected, but you should never eat this stuff, or get it in your eyes. Read the label. The smell sticks to your clothes. I find that I remain bite-free for at least 12 hours before I reapply. Overall, I find this product works very well for me, but it's true, the nozzle sucks. I would buy again, unless I find another product that can keep my bite-free and maybe has a lighter scent.
