My son loves all things science, so he was thrilled to get this set and learn more about the human body. The organs are kind of squishy and easy to handle and put into place. I appreciate that the skeleton stays together well.

I grabbed this as a gift for my daughter's older cousin and did not expect her to become so interested in it at all. She is only 4. So I gave in and we cracked it open (ha!) And she was so enthused about learning about all the parts and what they do. Really a great learning tool! And in a really colorful and easy way to follow. Love that it glows in the dark too. Has taken up residence on our kiddos bookshelf which looks cool at night. The organs themselves are squishy so they don't naturally fit into place inside the body, you do have to kind of rest and adjust them so you can stack them more easily. So even for an 8 year old it might get frustrating at first. So I would do this with them at least once to get the hang of it. But because they are squishy you can just smash and close the plastic on it, easily. Very cool! I am not sure I'd pay much more for it but definitely a great gift for any kid interested in this sort of thing!

This is a nice human body model. I have no complaints with it, as is, and it is exactly as described in the product description. All of the pieces are there, they do come apart and go back together fine, the diagram and papers are *very* helpful for both the layout and the teaching. Because of its size, however, it is pretty hard to get some of the organs in the right places. Clumsy tweezers are included, but it's still hard. The base is nice, too, for display.

The translucent NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC 32-PIECE INTERACTIVE HUMAN GLOW IN THE DARK ANATOMY MODEL has been available in one form or another for many years. It hasn't changed much because the human body hasn't changed at all. This is educational, fun, and interactive. It is a good learning tool and reference for more than just kids. It is great for artists, teachers, medical students, scientists, or anybody who aspires to know more about human anatomy. I already have one of these that I bought used and have had for over 25 years. The differences between the two models are minimal, except for the following: This glows in the dark. This is slightly smaller. This has a stand that allows it to stand up on its own. This has all the body parts my other one was missing. I like this for displaying alongside my art models. I keep my old one on my book shelf with my anatomy texts. I love that about it. When no one is learning from it, it still looks cool standing anywhere you decide to put it. And if you think this is something only a nerd would say, you should know: no one has ever mistaken me for a nerd. But if they had, I would be flattered.

A fun anatomy set for teaching young kids. The bones and muscle pieces are made of plastic but the pegs do not fit well into the holes. It was difficult to keep the organs together. Overall it is fun to have for a science nerd but I can see a young child becoming frustrated in getting the pieces to stay together.
