I like the soap nuts, the value, the low impact on the environment so I thought I'd try it. I used a front load washer on hot and the soap nuts pieces in the provided bag. Unfortunately the nuts left a yellow residue on my white sheets and towels. The residue washed out when I ran them through the cycle again, without soap.I think they work better in a washing machine that uses more water so they aren't stuck in one place. I'll pass these on to my daughter who uses a top load washer and go back to Dropps.

Unable to even use these because they are all so stuck together. I typically use EcoNuts, and yes, it sucks that they come in a plastic bag, but at least they don't get wasted like these will. I messaged customer service because if you break them up, they are too small and come out from the bag and make a mess in your washer. But if you don't break them up, you have about ten soap berries in one clump, some even more. Customer service said they will send a new one out once they get their new batch in, but I don't have high hopes that they actually will, or that it will be any different with the new batch.

it's great laundry detergent substitute, however smells really bad, little bag that holds nuts in the laundry needs to be secured really well otherwise nuts go all over the washing machine. Nuts came kind of stuck together, I thought it would be dryer, kind of one big lump. Laundry smells fresh, looks washed.

I love that this product is a lot more environmentally-friendly and that one order does 500 loads of laundry. It sounds too good to be true, but it's not. I do like the product itself. I've only had an issue with towels/heavier items. My towels don't smell that great after using this product. I added in more of the nuts for heavier loads like that, but it didn't really help. However, all my clothes come out just fine. Like other reviews said, there's not a strong perfume smell as with traditional laundry detergent, which I like. Either way, even if you need to add something additional to heavier loads, I would still recommend this product because it works for most things. It's well worth the money and the fact that you don't have to throw away a ton of plastic.

When I ordered these I was honestly a little skeptical. Some little shriveled up things are supposed to get my clothes clean? But since it's chemical free and the cost per load is cheaper than the name brand I'd been buying, I figured I'd give it a shot. Low and behold these things actually work! My clothes are clean and soft. Stinky dog blankets come out stink free. So far, the only thing that hasn't come out is the yellow paint my son got on his shirt on art class. But then again, nothing else has gotten that it either. No more chemicals in my clothes and no more plastic bottles. This girl is sold!
