I think the reason I gave it a high rating is because it does not taste good and does do what it is supposed to do. Which is, make the taste of sweet things taste less sweet and not good. I bought a similar product and it did not do the job. Things still tasted good to me. But this one seems to work well. The trick is to use it and try to retrain your brain to remember to take it before you dive into the desserts...or maybe just use it to help make you think ...maybe I don't need the dessert. It's a potentially good training tool/breaking an old bad habit. You just need to do it. I am toying with keeping it in my purse, instead of leaving it at home. So it is always at my fingertips. Now, I wish I could find another type in tablet form that does the same thing as it would be easier and more discreet to take in my purse. The One I use to buy does not seem to be available anymore. Suggestions? Thanks

Doesn't block sweetness

I bought this product to help control my sugar cravings as they were getting out of hand. I've tried this product several ways, by the bottle instructions, by dropping directly on the tongue, with juice etc. No matter what I try I still taste sweets directly and even a few minutes after. Such a waste.

Makes cravings go away

The first couple of days I took this product, I went home sick from work with horrible headaches. I put two and two together and realized I was taking way more than the directions said!!! Once I took it in the correct dose, no more headaches. It does miraculously take the cravings away! I have a horrible sweet tooth and Ill find anything sweet and eat it all day long!!! When I use this product 30-45 minutes prior to a temptation arriving, I will skip the temptation. Most notably is with desserts! I take the product before dinner and I dont crave the pie or ice cream or cake. Its amazing. I keep it close to me all day long. I dont use it if there arent any sweet things surrounding me, but I will use it when I know Ill be surrounded or when I know Ill have options to each sweets. I think this product is a life changer. I am happy I tried it. There are people in my life who are completely shocked that Im able to say no to sweets!!

It works for me!! Great help for sugar addicts

OK so this stuff does not taste good. Its not unbearable but it definitely isnt a great flavor. But it works. I use it and for a varied amount of time depending on how much I drink or eat it last for hours. And the bad flavor doesnt linger in your mouth very long. Considering other products that hide the flavor tend to run three times the cost I will keep getting this. Im a total sugar addict and too much sugar causes me more migraines and more body pain. But I cant resist it. This stuff lets me resist it. What I like the most was that I actually didnt even have to keep using it constantly. After a few times of taking it just the idea that I would take it and not be able to taste any sugar was enough to keep me from eating the sugar. Without even having taken the stuff. Interesting mental affect but it works and so im grateful

Doesn't taste bad...might cause smelly flatulence

I just got this herbal extract in the mail today and decided to give it a try. Perfect timing! It came along with a little box of homemade chocolates my sister-in-law sends to friends/family every Christmas. So, I decided to experiment on myself and my husband. I gave him the proper dosage (28 drops, according to the bottle, mixed with a little water). He drank it without gagging or throwing up, but he said it tasted nasty. I asked him to eat a piece of chocolate and see what it tastes like. He ate the chocolate...but he didn't go back for another piece. Hmmm.... My turn! I drop out a dosage for myself and mix with water. It doesn't taste bad. It's kind of like unsweetened green tea...with a bitter aftertaste. Okay. Cool. I then grabbed a piece of chocolate and took a bite. Ewww!! (Now in all fairness, it might not have been the gymnema leaf. I could've just been that particular chocolate was not so great.) We then get redy to take the dog for a walk, and as we're getting ready I'm not sure if I've got more energy...or if I'm getting an upset stomach. Not sure. Let's walk. We get home, and I'm putzing on the computer...and then I start releasing these silent-but-deadly, nasty smelling flatulence. Again...not sure if it's the gymnema leaf or what I had for dinner...but I don't really have any sweets cravings at the moment. So...it works? Maybe??
