This is my second round with a senior dog and glucosamine. First dog could not get up so I started feeding her Victor dog food with glucosamine. It was very helpful. Love this powder it has more punch. Place it in a small amount of wet food and you know theyve eaten it. Anyone who has a senior dog buy glucosamine powder.

I bought this because it was a lot less expensive than Cosequin. While the Cosequin capsules are convenient, this product comes with a little scoop so it's still pretty easy to use. By weight, our cat gets 1/2 a scoop in the morning and 1/2 a scoop at night, mixed into her wet cat food. She doesn't seem to notice the taste. Since I started using this with her a month or so ago, she is limping much less and seems to be feeling much better, leading me to believe it works better than Cosequin.

I have two dogs one is a boxer and one is a dashhound mix. Both are around 6 and 8 years old. We keep them active but my boxer can get down in her hip during the colder months and my dash sometimes has issues jumping on things. Within two weeks of starting this we seen dramatic improvements in them both. My dash started running around more and wanting to play and we didn't have to keep the heating pad on my boxer every night. Our dash recently hurt her leg and having this with other meds from the vet helped keep her from needing surgery. We were spending $40 a month on pills for both of them and now we can get one bottle of this and have it last us 3 months.

This really went immediately for my dog. My girl is less than a year old and she was hopping on one back leg and I had tried giving her a human glucosamine but it never worked. This really did work right away. Its a great product.

My cat will eat most anything you put in front of her. But with this powder she'll eat around it and will only eat it when she doesn't have anything else to eat and is hungry. I've tried mixing it with different wet foods thinking maybe it would blend better with chicken since the powder is chicken-flavored but that didn't work. Then I tried mixing it with fish based wet food and still, that didn't work. She dislikes something about this powder, so we've gone back to giving her the liquid form from another brand. We have to administer the liquid by holding her down and placing it in her mouth so we were hoping this powder would save all of us some stress by just mixing it in her food but it's not working out. I won't discourage people to stay away because every pet is different so feel free to try this but don't be disappointed if your pet reacts the way mine did. We live and learn!
