Great alternative to mothballs. The smell of mothballs lingered on my clothes so much that I didnt want to wear them. It would take weeks for the smell of mothballs to go away from one item of clothing. This cedar oil is perfect. Very light scent that is clean and fresh. I had cedar circles for my hangers years ago and forgot how nice it is. I searched Google for alternatives to mothballs and found cedar oil. So glad I did. Im using it in every closet. Solves the problem of worrying about moths. Love it!

Great As A Roach Repellent

We live in Florida and I'm telling you, some months back we had a serious roach infestation in our home. It was awful. After the professionals "bombed" our house I wanted to use a natural means of repelling any future roaches. After a great deal of research I opted for the Cedarwood Essential Oil because it's the safest oil to be used around cats (we have 2). I originally wanted to use Peppermint Essential Oil as it's THE most effective repellent but I learned it's too toxic for cats, as well as any of the other plant oils from the "mint" family. I've been using this oil, diluted with water and some witch hazel in a spray bottle. I use this solution for spraying the interior of kitchen cupboards and all countertop surfaces as a cockroach repellent 2 times a week and it seems to be working, voila! And I happen to like the smell of cedarwood :-D Here's the DIY recipe for the roach repellent: 1. Fill a large clean spray bottle with 26-oz of distilled water, 2. Add 3 Tbsp of Witch Hazel, 3. Add 30+ drops of Cedarwood Essential Oil. Shake before using.

Noxious chemical smell - basil and cedarwood

I bought several types, and while some were okay scent-wise, the basil and cedarwood in particular reeked of something very unnatural that lingered obnoxiously on the paper test.

Smells more like kerosenethan frankincense

sorry I bought it very strong chemical odor. did paper test. passed that. took an hour for the chemical smell to dissipate and then I could smell vaguely the frankincense. sad. will not buy this one again.

Not safe closure of the bottle!

Since a dropper was not included, I presumed that the little white plastic on top of the bottle is the dropper. I had plenty of essential oils with a dropper built in. It was a very unpleasant surprise, when I attempted to put a few drops on a cotton ball. The little plastic was not a dropper and it was completely loose. So, instead of a few drops, I got at least 1/3 of the oil on my hands, my table, my place mat. Very disappointing!!! This is not acceptable.
