Bought this bowl for my large puppy. Sturdy, easy to clean and works as intended. The bowl does not have anti-slip grips on the bottom, so the bowl will slide. Not a deal breaker but would be a nice added feature.

We have a large dog that inhaled her food. We wanted to slow her down and my sister-in-law recommended a bowl like this. I like the rubber ring on the base making it difficult for her to push around. The dog now eats much slower. We are happy with the bowl and would recommend it to friends.

The only thing I would change is for the plastic rim to be glued on, as it is I am able to take it off to clean it. It is a lot bigger than I thought it would be for my 51 lb. Staffordshire Terrier., but it has slowed her down a bit. I would have preferred it to be a bit smaller.

Our dogs will gulp down a cup of food in 5 seconds if allowed; thats too fast for proper digestion, and occasionally the food is regurgitated later. These bowls slow them down because they have to orient their nose along the circumference and can only get a little at a time, taking on the order of 1 minute for that cup of food. Total capacity of this size is about 1.5 cups. I like all stainless bowl for sanitation and durability; only down side is the flimsy rubber rim that keeps the bowl for sliding too much or scratching the floor: its loose and flimsy and detaches in normal use.

Have tried other "maze type" plastic bowls and my dog was just frustrated. Those channels were just too small. This bowl is sturdy and provides just the right amount of difficulty for my 45lb dog. Love the stainless and the rubber bottom makes it non slip and very quiet. No mess to clean up around the base as I have read on other reviews - dont know what they are using for food either.
