I learned in the 1970's to always buy a UV Haze filter to protect your expensive camera lenses and these do a great job.

Good image quality, does not get dirty easily

The filter is virtually invisible and does not change image in any noticeable way. Strong backlight causes some reflections but they are no worse than with another much more expensive UV Protection filter. Recommended, esp. at a discounted price.

Slim, sleek, protective

Ive owned this particular UV filter in the past, Ive never really been a big proponent of UV filters. Usually because I believe that the extra glass might take away from image quality. Your lens has been meticulously engineered to capture light. Anyway.. I dont usually recommend UV filters unless you walk arounda lot with your camera. Which is how I typically captures photos. I go outside and document life. The extra layer of glass is just for my peace of mind. Im protecting my glass. I have low key OCD and obsess over keeping my lense glass clean and pristine lol. Anyway, I enjoy the slim and sleek design of this filter. The lens cap fits perfectly over it. Does it degrade image quality? It doesnt seem to really except in one manner. When shooting directly into light. Youll get the famous green light dot reflections in your photos. Think iPhone camera lens flares. Know what I mean? I dont usually shoot directly into a light, but you might end up doing so when shooting indoors. You can always edit it out in post but its an annoying step. I dont understand how a glass that claims to filter UV haze or whatever can create green ghost / light reflections. I thought it was just this filter that does it but so does a more expensive B+W filter I have on another lens. I guess its a sacrifice youll have to make to protect your expensive lenses. Something Ill do while my lenses are relatively new. I think eventually Ill remove it and just carry them bare

Excellent inexpensive lens filter

This filter was purchased for a new lens and used to protect the front of the lens. After using it the results of the images turned out to be sharper than not using it. Also, it blocked out warmer frequencies giving a better white balance with skins tones. I would recommend to family and friends.
