I really like this product.

As a film maker I have a mirrorless camera in a rig on a lot of shoots, I normally always have a Ninja 5 monitor on my rig, this cold shoe mount is one of my favorites. The best feature is you do not need an Allen wrench to tilt the monitor like a lot of other brands. This works great.

EZ On/Off With Wing Nut. So Much Easier Than Thumb Wheel. All Metal & Built Well. Highly Recommend.

Purchased on 03-24-2024 for $11.99. This cold shoe adapter is designed and built well. Its all-metal construction should make this durable. What initially caught my eye was the prominent wing nut that tightens the shoe onto the hot/cold shoe mount. After it, I saw that the other two adjusting screws had a user-friendly shape/size as well. If you've used basic hot/cold shoe adapters, you know how difficult it can be to get your big, fat thumb on a standard thumb wheel, then tighten it SECURELY, then remove that TIGHT nut quickly. If you're like me, it ain't happening quickly nor easily. The protruding wings make it so much easier to grip and tighten the nut onto the shoe mount. No more muttering of choice words in frustration when using regular thumb wheels. The wing screw on the side quickly adjusts the tension for the pivot action. Out of the box, the movement was still very tight after loosening the wing screw, so I had to adjust the Allen screw on the other end to reduce the tension to my liking. Lastly, the thumb screw for the 1/4"-20 is knurled and thick enough to easily tighten on or loosen off an accessory. There are holes on the side to insert the included Allen wrench as a leverage arm for tightening or loosening the screw. This gizmo makes it so much easier to attach or detach accessories on a shoe mount. I highly recommend it. You'll be happy you got it. Having said that... I got the wrong one! I meant to buy the one with the anti-twist pin. So be aware that there are two flavors. Don't make the same mistake.

Perfect for my situation

I have always had problems taking overhead shots with my Nikon D7100 and Neewer monitor because the LCD screen is fixed and the adapter that came with the monitor is flimsy. This mount is well made, flexible and very secure. Problem solved.

This thing just works

I use it to mount an all metal phone holder onto the handle of my Sony A6600 cage and use my Samsung S22 ultra and S20 ultra as monitors. Once you lock it in to position it just doesn't move. Absolutely recommended for anyone looking to mount their phone or monitor.
