I love my Sony camera, but Sony lenses leave a lot to be desired if you aren't a fan of super sharp photos. I personally like a softer, more film-like feel to my lenses. As they say, the photo is made in the lens, not the camera. And sometimes I like to shoot with vintage glass or rent a high end lens for the weekend. I don't feel like spending a ton of money on a high-end Sony to Leica lens adapter that includes autofocus features, so this simple adapter from Neewer seemed like a great compromise. It's manual focus, but that's going to be a given anyway if you're shooting vintage lenses. So not really a drawback in my opinion. The build quality is superb and it attaches securely to the camera with no issues whatsoever. I've shot a bunch of test images with this using my friend's vintage Leica lens and the images are beautiful. Leica is definitely an amazing manufacturer of lenses, but their modern digital cameras aren't the best. This adapter gives me the best of both worlds; the best sensor on the market in a compact and robust body with the ability to shoot older lenses with M-mount that have so much more character than any modern sharp lenses.

The adapter works and the image came out fine. However, when I tried to dial in the aperture or manual focus the lens would wiggle from the adapter. There is no light leak from the gap but not the best quality machining.

This adapter does it's job! Having a Sony M mount is great for the quality of photos you get, and the weight of your base camera - but most of us know the lenses are a bit underwhelming and limited. With this adapter, your lens choices improve drastically.

Exactly what I had hoped for, a quality made mount for my old Leica M mount lenses to use on my new sony camera. Most things I have from Neewer are well made and a good value to boot, and this is no exception. If you are need of an adapter like this, I'd highly recommend this one.
