I was very interested in this supplement because two capsules give you 500 mg. of taurine (which I already take daily) plus 400 mg. of berberine (which is also in my arsenal), both of which I really like. But then there's this amino acid I had never heard of, L-ergothioneine, which is very promising for multiple uses. Neurolife's comes in the form of 6 mg. of MitoPrime. You get 60 capsules, a one-month supply, at around a dollar a serving. For me, this is a bit out of my price range, and it seems like a lot of the research on ergothioneine is relatively new, but I do think it's a very promising ingredient in a very interesting supplement. I have read that you can get this amino acid through supplementation and diet, notably through mushrooms, though I didn't see which ones exactly might be high in it. I do also take mushroom supplements, so I don't know if I'm getting a similar amount through that. This supplement takes the guesswork out of all that, and, though I can't pinpoint any specific added benefits with taking this over just taurine and berberine separately, I do feel confident in taking it. I really like that Neurolife products are made in the USA in a cGMP-certified facility and third-party tested.

I have taken many Natural Stacks products over the years and trust them to deliver a well thought out stack (mix) of complementary ingredients. I have taken all the ingredients in this supplement separately so it is nice to have them all in 1 pill. I've been especially interested in Taurine supplementation since the data on its longevity benefits has started to come out and I'm on a plant based diet which can be low in taurine. I find supplementing with Taurine and berberine has been helpful to my energy level and gut function. The Ergothioneine is the most expensive part of this stack and is there as an antioxidant. I usually pay twice as much for this as a stand alone ingredient but that supplement includes twice as much. The dose here is 2 caps to get the 6mg Ergothioneine, 400 mg Berberine and 500 mg Taurine. Safety sealed, expiration date far in the future, all the capsules in good shape. No side effects from taking this. Since this combo product is taking the place of 3 separate pills for me, I haven't noticed any difference in how I feel and it is more convenient.

The taste is ok and the product is as explained. I did not see a measurable differect
