These are NOT WAX sticks, they are GLUE sticks. They have to be used with a mini 20W glue gun. I found that these sticks needed a little extra push to pass through the nozzle of my glue gun. The picture does not do the color justice. It's actually more iridescent and nicer IRL. That said, these are not worth the hassle unless you need it for a project that is going to last for many years to come. I know that as wax ages, it can get brittle and dry. Making a seal with these sticks feels much more sturdy and it seems like they would hold up fairly well over time. My biggest issue with these is that your timing must be fairly precise. Try to pull the seal off too soon and you're pulling up glue. Wait a little too long and you'll have to pull really hard to get it off the seal and then it will warp. (See last photo.) Wax is a bit more forgiving than these glue sticks.

I usually melt wax for projects in a spoon over a candle so when I got these sticks, my plan was just to cut them up and do the same. Not the best choice on my part. These wax sticks are more like glue sticks in consistency, since they are transparent, and they just need a higher temperature to fully melt than I get with a spoon and a candle. An electric wax melter will probably work better. A glue gun, like they were designed for, will work best. They are beautiful and really add a nice sparkle to my projects. Just use them the way they were intended.

I used these to make some grab bags for an event, and the wax is super cute and ethereal looking. The sparkles are subtle, but still noticable in the light. Very easy to use. Only thing is the sticks were a bit too small for my mini glue gun, so I had to manually push them instead of just being able to use the trigger. Not a huge deal and still turned out beautiful! I don't have a seal stamp, so I used the lid of a bottle of whiskey and I think they turned out great! If you aren't using them for wax seals, I think these would be great for any project you need hot glue for where the glue would show if you want it to look pretty! These are functionally colored hot glue sticks.

These are beautifully iridescent. My photos don't do the shimmer justice. I'm thinking about doing some aquatic themed projects with these. I've never used the glue stick sealing wax before, I've only used the beads and the wicked sticks. I've tried using the clear wax beads but found them too sticky and difficult to work with, and I was hoping that these sticks would be more functional for me. I was not disappointed. I have only used one stick so far, and it yielded seven seals with standard sized 25mm stamp heads. The stamped wax takes acrylic marker well (my application was awful, but I was distracted when coloring it). The stamped impressions are quite flexible and have an almost rubbery feel. The glue sticks to the stamp heads, so you have to let your impressions cool fully and then peel it from the stamp. As such, you will want to have multiple stamps on hand if you're doing a bulk order. I was just playing around to test out a few different wax sticks, so I had a whole bunch of my newest stamps ready to go so I could test them out at the same time and just left the stamps in the wax as I went. These work and feel different than traditional wax seal wax and it takes a few tries to get used to it (or at least it did for me). It is so much easier than using the translucent wax beads. I want to try all of the colors of these shimmery clear sticks and see what kind of effects I can make. As you can see in my photos, these have the Nerdy Narwhal LITERAL seal of approval. Helpful tip if you're not a regular wax seal stamper and just looking to diy your 1st ever batch of invitations or similar project to save some money- don't pour your wax onto the envelope or card or whatever it is you're sealing. Get a silicone mat (the ones for lining a baking sheet work the best) and make your seals on the mat. Once they cool, peel them off and apply a double sided sticker to the back so you can just place them like stickers when you're ready. This saves you from ruining cards during mis-pours or bad stamping. You should also have a traditional wax seal spoon and furnace (the spoon rest that sits over a tea light candle) so you can melt down your imperfect seals to make new ones because you WILL mess up a lot of them.
