This leather repair tape did a pretty good job of covering the torn leather on my car seat. It's a little thin, so the edges of the damaged area show through. To be fair, it's a really horrible tear that is almost disintegrating so it would take a lot to perfectly conceal it. The material is sticking tight, even at the edges. The pebbled pattern matches the upholstery well and even though you can see the top edge, it looks way better than my destroyed seat! My only complaint is that the stickers used to hold the roll closed were so stuck that I couldn't get them off and had to cut and toss about 6-8" of the repair material. Not a huge deal for me as I didn't need the entire length, but keep that in mind if you do.

The problems: Family cat decided to claw open the top of a leather chair, and an armrest has developed a hole and some cracking (same chair) that are getting worse. So . . . we tried this patch and you can see the results. The first photo is before application and shows the cat damage. The second picture is the armrest showing the cracking, one of which is actually a good sized slit/hole in the leather. The third photo shows the cat hole after adding the patch, and the fourth photo shows the arm rest after adding the patch. For a relatively low cost, the furniture has a bit of a life extension and is a lot more comfortable to sit in and to see. The color match, even though we bought over the internet, was quite good and we are very pleased. As to what I didn't like . . . I wish the vendor would seal the ends with something other than the white (and very sticky and hard to remove) tape strips (the last photo shows one to the left of the instructions inside the wrapper). They are very difficult to remove - especially from the leather side of the patch. I also wish the vendor would use some markings on the back of the peel-off paper to help achieve straighter cuts and better measurements. However, both of those issues are minor at best and thus far we are quite pleased with the look and performance of the patch.

Tried this out to patch up a pair of faux leather boots and it did a great job. I just cut it into a nice shape, and no one can tell there was damage there. I was sure to clean the surface first, and then it stuck on easy. You also get a lot for your money... I have a lot left for other projects.

Bought this to repair a headboard for a bedframe that was not cheap. An upolsterer wanted 285.00 to repair. I feel this did the job for 20.00. Sticks well, color is true to picutre and I am more thrilled to have this fixed, looking decent, and saving a good deal of money.
