Nice solid bowl. Doesn't feel cheap. I use a two liter pitcher whenever I fill up this bowl with water and it is the perfect capacity. Not to the brim but just a tad below it. Easy to clean. We rotate between several of these so the dogs always have a clean bowl.

Love the size (large) and rubber on its base. It doesnt slide at all on this mat, even as much as our Golden Retriever licks it! Washes great on top rack of dishwasher too!

The good - it feels like a solid bowl to me, and the rubber at the bottom seems to be the same as the type you get on a pressure cooker ring. Thus, it should last a while. You really can't beat the quality price ratio. Does not take up much space in the dishwasher. The bad - none so far. The ugly - I bought the large that is supposed to be 8 cups. There is absolutely no way that I can forsee 8 cups.

Overall, the Durapet dog bowl is pretty good. Compared with some of the other bowls out there, the steel is pretty robust. I recently purchased another bowl, and the material was way too thin. There is a nice rubber-like liner on the bottom. My only complaint is that the rubber liner does not cover the entire bottom of the bowl. The center of the bowl is still metal. The problem with this is that over time, gunk will get caught between the rubber and the steel. Alternatively, this simply doubles the likelihood that the rubber and the steel will separate. I am sure it would not have cost much more to cover the entire bottom of the dog bowl. The best dog bowl I have owned is the Rogz Slurp bowl. But I purchased it abroad, and no one seems to sell it here in the US. But like I said, for the price, this is a very good bowl. Interesting that, with a few exceptions, pretty much all stainless steel dog bowls are made in India. I wonder if there is one factory that makes the bowls for everyone . . . :)
