Although the box was totally crushed in shipping and the contents were loose in the shipping bag - I like the actual product. They are individually wrapped so easy to take for travel. Drop them in water and Boom! - the fizzing cleaning action starts. While it was working the minty smell was nice, however afterward if you do not rinse the product off really well you end up with a salty taste. My retainer is now easy to clean!

I use it with my sonic dental appliance cleaner and it gets my retainer nice and smooth and shiny. I have had my dental appliance for many years so it didnt get my retainer much whiter because the retainer is somewhat stained from age. What I like about this retainer cleaner is that it isnt overly minty or chemical smelling or tasting after cleaning. When using, I put my retainer in my cleaner, add water, add my retainer and add the cleaning tablet. I turn on my cleaner and then leave my appliance in the cleaning solution until I wear it at nighttime. While the box exterior looks different from some of the other "brands" we've ordered, the packaging size and the tablet size and wrapping are all exactly the same (leading us to believe they're all the same manufacturer). They work great. Every morning I plop a tablet in my retainer cup with hot water and let it do its thing. It hasn't hurt my Invisalign retainer and once I've rinsed them, I've never tasted anything. But the retainers and retainer cup do smell like mint after using the tablets. We like these for travel. And actually, a tip for other users.......a half tablet cleans both my retainers perfectly well. So, I can make the box last twice as long. And I never, ever have to brush or scrub my retainers and they're always crystal clear despite nightly wearing.

I used these a few times with my mouth guard in just a cup and it seemed to be working. I then tried in an ultra sonic cleaner and it was a lot better. I cant see doing this every day (Im a bit lazy) so 120 tablets will last a long time. Cleaning the mouth guard by hand gets old so this is a nice change and is doing a better job. Not sure what most people use but so far this is working for me.
