My favorite thing about this ALKALO PAPER TRIMMER is that it cuts a wavy (straight) line that I use for cardmaking. So far, I've not had a project that I needed to perforate or crease paper but this does work to do those functions as well as a straight cut. The multi-function blade system is clever, just turn the blade wheel to the cut you want. You do have to push down on the blade as you are cutting; more so than a typical paper trimmer. I've used this only on cardstock and at first, when I didn't use any pressure, I slid the blade multiple times over the paper and it chewed it up, so there is a learning curve. There are several measurement markings on the trimmer which is helpful although there is only about a 1.5 inch bed on either side of the blade so if you are cutting anything longer than that and need a precise measurement, you will need to use a ruler and pencil. The plastic guard does not lift up so small pieces of paper need a little help getting out sometimes.

My wife is the paper-crafter of the family and if she owns 1 paper-trimmer, she owns 5. This one caught her eye because of the wavy blade and the perforating blade, two unique features of this paper trimmer. It arrived in a box suitable for gifting. The AKALO trimmer is marked in inches and centimeters, the angles and grids are boldly printed on heavier plastic, this trimmer has feet on the base to stop it from slipping as well. My wife *really* enjoys this trimmer, the wavy cut works better on thicker paper, 80lb and up, but worked on notebook paper as well. The perforation blade is amazing and I know she doesn't have a trimmer that does that. Very tight perforations if that makes sense, they are very close together. Like a ticket stub. The paper creaser also worked better on heavier cardstock, but we got a nice crease started, and finished with a bone folder. The straight blade is sharp and true. As expensive as all crafting supplies are, this one seems a good value, it's very portable and lightweight and I can see this spending a lot of time in the center of her craft space. 5 stars.

I was elated to see a very specific paper trimmer for those in the A5 size paper community. A5 is my preferred size for writing since I can easily pack and travel using this format. This ALKALO paper trimmer is very straight forward in usage. Here are my quick points of observations: PRO: * lightweight and compact - no loose pieces to worry about misplacing * rotating cutter ring * meaurements in inches and angles are easy to read * 3 cutters - 4th option just creates a crease which I don't need CON: * you need to fine tune how much pressure is needed to cut across the whole paper * Not a fan of the paper crease making die * can only trim 2 or less sheets at one time Overall, not a bad trimmer. sure wish it cuts across easier. 4 Stars!
