I've ordered other Paperage products so I had high hopes for these notebooks. In general, Paperage produces reasonably priced notebooks that are good quality. This notebook has good paper and is the perfect size to write notes for work. However, the binding is terrible. It started peeling off the second day of use. I'll continue using it because I don't want to waste paper. Once I'm done, I'll return to the more expensive Leuchtturm brand (so much for trying to save money while still trying to feed my stationary addiction).

This is a fine notebook. Im sure if youre not a paper snob or someone who uses more than a basic ballpoint or pencil, these notebooks will preform well. Typically, I prefer to use fountain pens and the occasional rollerball. The paper is slightly toothy and quickly absorbs and slightly spreads the ink. Theres a fair amount of ghosting and even occasional bleeding. I use fine nibs, which dont usually cause issues with most papers. These seem like a standard college ruled notebook which is usually slightly too wide for my taste. It seemed to have above average quality construction and plenty of pages. I can see these being a great upgrade for a college notebook, especially since it comes with page tabs. The B5 size is also perfect for note taking. I think if I was less picky, I would really like this notebook. Unfortunately for me, the search continues!

I really wanted to like these journals; after using Moleskine XL Softcover Notebooks for years, I've been branching out, searching for others that compare or beat the Moleskine quality. Unfortunately, these are NOT it. My biggest complaint is the cover material, which attracts dirt and oil. As someone who carries my current journal with me everywhere I go, I care about the cover quality and overall appearance. My hands are not sweaty, but often leave oil marks on the cover that need to be wiped clean. I frequently find flecks of dirt on the cover, as though the cover material is some sort of new-age magnet. The pages themselves are far more rough than a Moleskine's and only have 34 lines per page compared to Moleskine's 36. Overall, there are many things that disappoint me here. I will not buy Paperage again.
