The media could not be loaded. In order to get this to work, you must use an air control valve on your pump. Too much air and it just stays open with bubbles. The control valve leaks air until you get the right amount. And you have to position the box just right on the sand. I toned the air way down so it opens every 4 seconds. Tip: Use a small air pump. I use a Whisper rated for 10gal and it's on a 110 tank. Even then, I need the control valve to let air out because it would be too much air otherwise, so it is just a little bit going into the treasure box. Really cute and fun. The kids love watching it open and close.

Took a little bit of time and fidgetting with to get it to work right, but once you get it going it works great. The chain is a bit on the fragile side so be careful not to loose some links.

It's a really cute idea and would be great, if it worked. First of all, the chains are very, very flimsy. They break or fall off continuously. However, the main problem is the treasure chest. It is way, way too light. When air is running, it either turns on its side or floats up. I tried covering parts of it with rocks, but it wouldn't stay down. I realize this is a relatively cheap accessory, but I would have rather paid more money for a better product. Note: I'm just using the diver alone and floating him in the water.

Oh where or where do I start? This is really a great accessory for your aquarium. It is made well except that is way too light weighted (why 4 stars) and you are going to have to fool around with it and have great patience. I got in a hurry because my tank was already full of water and so it was hard to deal with. It is not a simple place in the tank and add air! After reading other comments I placed a small bridge over the air line to help hold the chest down. No go. The chest became lopsided at once because the bridge was not heavy enough to hold the line down. This meant the diver wasn't going to properly float. Luckily, a foliage accessory I ordered came the next day and it was heavy enough to hold the chest in place and to hold it level. If the chest is not placed level it will burp bubbles out the edge and not lift the chest lid. Then somehow the diver became disengaged from his chain so I just left him off (last straw--patience gone). I like it with or without the diver. My tank is so old and only 2 gallons so can't have too much clutter but I am happy with my chest of jewels!
