My dog is QUITE the shedder once he grew up. I took him to a DIY dog wash and they handed me a similar style rake, and I was blown away how effective they were so compared my brushes at home, so I had to get one of my own. This one is MUCH better than the borrowed one because it has two raking sides. One side is a tighter rake and the other is a looser rake. Because of the two sides, I was able to remove even much more shed than using a single side as it changed the brushing method. I felt like I was peeling away layers and layers of built up shed and freed my puppy of this fur blanket. The handle is simple but nice and ergonomic and grippy. The racks are held with screws so its made for really thorough cleaning very easy. The metal is nice and strong so I'm not worried about bending any of the teeth. The comb does comb things. It was of similar build quality and was great for styling the fur after a thorough raking.

I have a large male German Shepherd Dog. He has a beautiful double coat consisting of a topcoat and an undercoat. Unfortunately, he sheds all year round with heavy shedding periods during Spring and Fall. I am reviewing the 2 piece Pet comb and Pet rake set from DSOE. The 2-in-1 Pet comb works well with his topcoat when soapy and wet to undo tangles and is great to comb out sticky weed seeds which my dog sometimes picks up along the edge of the forest. The 2-in-1 Pet rake works as an excellent undercoat rake for my dog. The wide gaps between teeth on one side work well for pulling out his undercoat without any pain. This is much better than the wire I had used before. The thermoplastic rubber handles on both rake and comb allow a good grip when using wet or dry. The premium stainless steel teeth on both the comb and the rake should give lifetime service without any corrosion. I highly recommend this grooming set to any German Shepherd Dog owner.

I got the Pet Comb for Dogs and Cats, 2 in 1 Pet Hair Remover Comb with Metal and Rubber Teeth for my cat. I've had many cats before but this one is one of the more skittish ones. She did not mind the comb, and I liked that it was easy to use but more importantly easy to clean. I had an old brush that was more like a rectangular paddle shape, that I will probably get rid of now, I think this one works better.

I have two dogs - one with a very short coat and one with a medium coat. While this brush doesn't work as well as others for the short coated dog it's wonderful on my medium coated dog. Easy and comfortable to use. And my dog who dislikes being brushed tolerates this more than some of the other brushes I have tried with him.

Comb is very generic but slides freely along my fur. The undercoat/de-shedding tool I first thought was some kind of mid-evil device . The tines are reminiscent of an auger. The ends of these "sickles" are a bit sharp and gives me shivers when my wonderful owner strokes this along my fur. I only lasted a few strokes before I called it quits. The rubber handles are nice? I guess I'll stick to the traditional wire type brushes. Sadly, cannot recommend.
