Effective, be gentle

Perfect and easy to use de-shedding comb for short hair dogs. Really gets that undercoat out with minimum pulling. On long hair dogs, need to be careful because it can pull their fur and become uncomfortable quickly. I do short sessions, one area at a time and give treats. I recommend using outdoors to keep the fur from flying all over the house. Use the included comb cover after use, this helps keep the teeth from dulling.

I have three Maine Coons, and there is a LOT of fur happening. I have them professionally groomed twice a year, and have their undercoat taken care of at the begin of summer. This tool is great for maintenance and I found using it right after their grooming made the more comfortable with it. With the undercoat and few small mats gone, this tool doesn't pull any fur out and they get used to it. Over time, and consistent use, their fur is in pretty good shape .

Works Great!

I had just finished brushing my Cavalier when this De-shedding tool arrived. It assembles quickly and the handle has a nice silicone grip. I went over my Cavaliers coat lightly and was surprised as to how much hair this de-shedding tool grabbed since she had just been brushed with a pin brush. I only have the de-shedding tool so I cannot comment on the other products included in the kit but I can tell you this de-shed tool works great. I intend to follow up every brushing with this tool to get the last of the loose hair rather than have it flying around the room every time she shakes.

Awesome de-shedding comb for my short-haired dog

Most of the time my dog doesnt need brushed because she has very short fur and no undercoat. Twice a year though, there is suddenly fur everywhere. This tool really works well in getting all those loose furs off before they can make their way onto the floor, all over the couch, on our clothes, and up my nose. I was surprised how much came off with this brush over the last 2 days. I like the length of the comb part, which is 4 so it covers a lot of her with each stroke. The handle is comfortable and made of silicon. Best of all, it doesnt seem to irritate my dog, whos not the happiest when it comes to being groomed.

Essential Brush for Short Haired Dogs

My Buddy has a very short, somewhat oily, coat. I tried other types of brushes and silicon hand pads you stroke to remove excess fur, all with limited results. If you really want to reduce shedding, this type of brush is essential. I've used the exact same model as this one for years. Unfortunately, someone left it outside for a spell and it rusted. I live alone. At any rate, I needed a new one and so far, this one has not disappointed (see pics). It comes with a blade guard for when its not in use. Nice feature. Highly recommended this brush to anyone wanting to reduce shedding. Thanks!
