Great on a hairy German shepherd

My dog sheds like crazy. This brush is fantastic. Not only does it remove the hair, but when you push the button, the hair falls right off the brush. This is definitely the best brush I have used for my dog's thick undercoat.

Could be my fault, but didnt work for my dog.

I bought this brush to try on my dog. She has shorter hair, so that could be why this brush did not work for me. The reason I gave the product an average review is because the bristles are incredibly sharp and seemed to actually irritate my dogs skin. I thought it could have been because my dog is short haired, but when I attempted it on my cat as well, she did not seem please at all. She generally likes being brushed, but was not having it with this one. Other than that, I believe this brush might be great for animals with long and thick fur.

One of my better purchases

I was skeptical of this brush for my Golden but after getting used to the brush it leaves him with such a nice tangle free coat and the size is just right, I honestly can't believe how well the de-fur button works I figured it was a gimmick but it really works so good. No more pulling hair out of my old brush. Leaves dog feeling happy and content. 2 months in not sure if it'll last but it was priced right.
