My cats are pretty mischievous. When the bowl is empty, they'll paw it around the room trying to get me to fill it up. This obviously isn't good for an automatic feeder. The single bowl comes with a ring that attaches to the feeder to keep it from going everywhere, but this double bowl kit does not come with a double bowl ring for some reason. I ended up getting a raised double bowl (see picture) and using a bungee cord to affix everything to my cabinet. It works fine, but now the bowls it came with are useless. I would much rather it come with a double bowl holder than the divider which I don't plan on using. All in all, the price for me was a little high since all I needed was the divider but now paid extra for stuff I don't need. That said, this is a great divider! I was using a 3rd party one for a while but it was 3D printed and had a rough texture, so it was causing food jams with smaller kibble. This one works great, doesn't jam, and fits perfectly. An added bonus is that it makes the opening too small for my cats to try and tamper with the device to steal food. Both cats can eat simultaneously without fighting. A wonderful compliment to a really good feeder. Love the app, the notifications of feeding (especially while I'm away) and the ease of setup.

My cats do not get along when it comes to food. I struggled with wanted to purchase an automatic feeder but not wanting to have them eat from the same bowl. The splitter doesn't portion the meals out perfectly however I find the ease of use and the divider keeping them out of sight well worth the cons. No more waking up at 5am to hungry cats! If you're okay with non-perfect portions and the bowls being capable of sliding around this is a great solution to greedy eaters like my too!

I got this to be able to separate the feedings between two of my dogs. The separating panel between the dishes is great! One of my dogs doesn't mind having a meal buddy. But my other dog wants his space. So having that little wall is helpful. I've been using this for almost a month with the feeder and have not had any problems at all. My only suggestion is to create a bowl holder like you have with the single bowl. My dogs push the bowls around to find food that missed the bowl when dispensed. If I'm gone for a day, the next feeding ends up getting scattered on the ground.

The instructions say to lay the feeder on its side and insert the food splitter into the food spout first. Don't waste time trying to get it to 'lock in' or otherwise stick in place. The privacy panel holds it in place. Nothing's broken. I solved this by assembling the privacy panel first, then inserting the splitter and locking it in place with the privacy panel. Basically, the instructions backwards. Otherwise, it's working like a charm so far.
